Expensive, but fantastic shampoo. Recently bought my second bottle. It's the only shampoo I've found that improves my scaly scalp condition. Anti-dandruff shampoos have only ever made things worse, in addition to making my wiry hair even more crispy and frizzy. Maybe my issue was traditional soap ingredients all along? The small bottle lasted longer than expected. I've found that adding a bit of warm water before lathering, or REALLY soaking your hair works best. I have very thick, but short hair. I still only need about a tablespoon to get my hair clean. If I've been exercising or doing yard work, and got especially sweaty, I will wash a second time. I use Aussie 3-Minute Miracle Smooth conditioner with this. I haven't found anything better. I typically wash my hair every other day. If I don't use too much conditioner on my scalp, my hair is still clean and shiny well into the second day. I also like that this product has almost no scent, which is great if you don't care for strong perfumes. It may also be worth noting that I regularly dye my hair to cover grays, and have seen no change with this shampoo, so it appears to be at least relatively dye-friendly.

Although this product is not exactly vegan it still doesn't contain some of the chemicals found in other shampoos. Being tested by both clinical dermatologists convinced me to it. My wife and I have different hair types but have both of us have found it smelling very good and very helpful. My dandruff has lessened significantly if not entirely. Both of use find it leaves a nice moisture balance to keep our hair looking soft but not looking oily. Using daily, it's a pretty good buy for a decent size bottle that can last awhile even when sharing with another person.

It says that it is for daily use, but my hair felt dry on the first wash. Feels more like a clarifying shampoo. Also, the scent is not pleasant, it smells like rubber. I will keep using it just because my scalp doesn't feel irritated afterwards.

A bit of background on my hair. I am almost 50 and have long wavy/curly hair with frizz. It is super curly underneath the back part of my neck, wavy everywhere else. Flat on the top due to the weight of my thick hair and full everywhere else. Oily at the scalp and dry & frizzy everywhere else. I work out daily for at least 1 hour and my scalp sweats quite a bit. I wear my hair up while working out & try to wash it every 3rd day. I have gone through bouts of itchy, flaky scalp here and there for brief periods of time. I try switching shampoos, using ALL the various dandruff shampoos, and when it's super itchy, I apply scalpicin (which always relieves the itching). Eventually it goes away but nothing in particular has worked. I have been recently experimenting with Shea butter shampoos and apply different oils such as argan, coconut, rose hip and Shea butter to the ends to help with the frizz. However, I have been getting itchy scalp and dandruff and was on a mission for the "magic" shampoo that would clean my oily scalp while not drying it out and still moisturize the mid and ends. I saw this everyday shampoo on the tv show "the doctors" and it was highly recommended. I read reviews on costco's website, where you can also buy the large size if your a member. I came to Amazon and read the reviews for it and thought "wow, this is the answer I've been looking for all my life". I was not happy with the price but thought if it works, it would be well worth it. The marketing suggests it has the perfect ph level of 5.5. Sounded good. I paid $4 extra for one day shipping so $20 for a 6.8 ounce bottle. Washed my hair with it today and I feel completely duped. The smell is mild and somewhat clean. The consistency is a bit bit on the thin side and it is clear. I found that it takes quite a bit to get a lather going (this is after thoroughly wetting my hair as suggested by a reviewer. I tried just applying it to my scalp area, and letting it run down the ends ;not scrubbing it into the ends. I Only washed it once. My hair felt so dry. I could barely get my wide toothed comb through it. I noticed I had more hair fall in the shower than I usually do. To be fair, this happens to me if I use any clarifying shampoo. I did follow up with my Wen watermelon conditioner on the mid and ends that I always use. This shampoo gave me the same feeling as when I have used neutrogena anti residue shampoo (I didn't like that either). Now, a few hours later, my scalp is itchy and my hair looks frizzy, poofy, and my scalp feels dry. This was a total waste of money. I think it may work for fine or limp straight hair but otherwise, I am very skeptical of these rave reviews. I'm going back to Aussie moist for now and using pure argan oil on the ends (applied to damp hair) to combat the dry frizzy ends. I think this may be like searching for the perfect deodorant that never fails or the fountain of youth!
