I initially used this cream to numb the skin over a portacath central IV line before piercing the skin and the portacath membrane with a needle. It worked beautifully to minimize the discomfort. Later I used it to relieve the searing pain of a second-degree (partial thickness) burn from the hot element of an oven. Again, it worked beautifully. It was applied sparingly for both uses. My favorite feature is the absence of other active ingredients besides lidocaine -- no menthol, methyl salicylate, or camphor. This product is a winner!

I am reviewing this product's ability to reduce injection site pain. I did not use it for waxing, laser treatments, or anything like that. I bought this product so I could not feel the needle used for IV's and blood drawing.I did not feel ANYTHING when I had an IV entered for an MRI nor did I feel anything when I had my blood drawn. This cream blocked out 100% percent of the pain. I had no idea that the needles had even been entered into my skin. I noticed that some reviewers stated that this cream did not work for them and I believe I know the reason why. I will leave some tips below.Before buying this cream know that it only numbs the top layers of skin. Meaning this product will numb any superficial surface pains but it will not help to reduce the pain of anything that goes deep into the skin.Second, you must activate this product to experience great results, Here's how to do so.1. Wash the area2. Gently blot the area dry3. Rub about a teaspoon of cream onto the area you wish to numb4. (Semi) Tightly wrap the creamed area with Saran Wrap5. Wait 30 minutes to allow the area to become numbed6. Enjoy your pain free experienceI know that the bottle states that this product only last about an hour, but my skin was still slightly numb about 2.5 hours after the IV and having my blood drawn. I used this product on both arms to numb the vein access area on both arms and I could not feel anything. I highly recommend this product to anyone who has a needle phobia like myself. This is truly a miracle in a jar!P.s if anyone is wondering how I figured out how to successfully use this product prior to receiving it it is because I googled how to get the most out of numbing creams. The tips work, and now I am passing them on. I hope these tips work for you as well!

I was skeptical, I’ll say that much. It did a damn good job though. It wore off around 2 hours in but it was perfect to start out. I will say though, it’s in a pretty small packaging so if you have a bigger spot, you may need two containers.

If you’re looking at this product for tattooing- works GREAT! Hear me out. I ordered this for a tattoo and then never went through with using it- some artists don’t like clients to use it and I felt awkward about asking. I found an artist I was going to repeatedly and mentioned it to them- they gave me the clear to try it the next time I came in. Here’s the thing, by this time, the cream was TWO YEARS EXPIRED. But, I already had it and figured I’d use it up- I’d been getting tattooed forever without it so if it didn’t work, whatever. I planned on following the suggestions: rub in thin layer, coat with a thick layer, wrap super tight with plastic wrap, leave on for 2+ hrs prior. When the day came, I got behind and rushed through application and was only able to let it set for maybe 45 minutes. I was getting around my knee tattooed and to no surprise, it didn’t work. Stay with me. A few weeks later, I was getting more work done on the same knee tattoo. This time, I was going to give it another go and make an effort to follow through if h properly. Two hours prior, I rubbed in a good amount then covered the area with a THICK layer. Then using plastic wrap, I wrapped it VERY tight. Took it off at the shop right before the stencil was applied. Now, seeing as I had the same area tattooed, I knew what to expect. Let me tell you, I COULD NOT FEEL A THING! Tattoo took a little over an hour and it stayed numb the entire time. I have tons of tattoos, and I wish I would have used this YEARS ago! I will ALWAYS make an attempt to use this and numb the area. Game changer!! Buy it! Worked wonders even after being expired!

I ran out of Ebanel numbing cream, so I brought this brand for microneedling. I applied it to my face, waited for about 30 minutes, washed it off, poked at my face with my fingers to make sure it was numb, and then proceeded to microneedle. I felt little pain with the shorter needles, but with the deeper needles, I definitely felt pain and had to stop the microneedling session early. This was not the case when using Ebanel numbing cream. I had no problems using the longer needles, and I have microneedled plenty of times using Ebanel. Next time, I am going to try leaving the numbing cream on longer and see if that works. If not, I will go back to using Ebanel. The only reason I bought this brand was because it was a lightning deal. I am giving it three stars because it does numb but very superficially.Hope my review helps! Hemorrhoid surgery is the hardest surgery and this anesthetic do helps tremendously. Goes on smooth and easily. Don’t hesitate.
