Took multiple tries to clean the print head

Didn't work on my MFC-J470. Maybe it was gummed up too long.It did come with a quality syringe and the correct size tubing to fit the inlet nipples, and it did remove a LOT of old ink, but I guess the printhead sat too long.

The "needle" for injecting the cleaning solvent is too large to work very well on our Brother printer. It hasn't kept the inkjet clog-free. We have put together our DIY cleaning kit which works better. The price is too high for the small quantity of cleaner.

I was prepared to trash my Brother MFC inkjet printer when the black ink head clogged and the printer's internal head cleaning protocols didn't work. Repair estimates were more than a new printer would have cost. I did some searching and found several YouTube instructionals on DIY head cleaning with a kit like this one. I thought I'd try it. I had to be patient and let the solution do its thing for a couple of days but lo and behold the printer is working better than ever. I was shocked. If you are at all adept at this sort of thing by all means give it a try. A very good value compared to the cost of a new printer. Props to the McGyvers at Print Head Geek.

Printer heads were logged. After many tries, it finally cleared out the yellow one. Don’t use a whole lot of pressure either!

Didn't work after 5th tries

Brother printer is an LC-61 series or MFC-J265W ,On the 8 by 12 square matrix (print Quality)of yellow only four squares are missing or 4 out of 96 Squares.

This product didn’t work on my printer at all! In fact it seemed like it made things worse! Don’t buy it! I want my money back! 0 star rating!
