ICON Modus 2 Flashlight (White)

I bought several and they work well so far. Push in the big button on the end to turn on and adjust the intensity of the light. Easy grip. Seems well made, not cheap.

Lasted for about 3 weeks. The bulb is very bright, and the flashlight is a pleasure to hold. However, when you pack it, you almost need to put it in its own durable box, as the head will snap off otherwise. That's what happened to me, yielding a waste of a purchase. The manufacturer needs to rethink how they construct this item. For us consumers, invest the money in something better.

If you need to see in the dark, you are in for a treat. I didn't realize how the double click of the button can dim the brightness. You get two options. The illumination is LED and covers what you want to see. The design is well made to the point that it won't roll around on a flat surface. Easy to grasp. It comes with batteries and that's a plus. I bought this for my car incase of an emergency. Great for the glove compartment. It also looks like a space gadget, because of the modern design.

These things are a great value. I have them all over the house and cars. Some of them in the garage are so beat they are unrecognizable but still keep working. They throw out just the right beam for working around the house. No metal or sharp corners it will never scratch wood, glass or counter tops etc even when dropped. Two double A batteries last a long time in these things at this low output.

These always break, and the manufacturer is out of business, so forget it!

I'm putting three stars because this is a great light and for the price you of course can't beat it. I will say however, that my last one the batteries corroded after two years so I got this new one and it broke almost immediately. So you get what you pay for.

It's brighter than what I thought and it already had Energizer AA alkaline batteries installed. I like the unique design and that it's weatherproof. Plus, it is power-regulated and has two output levels. Finally, it has a nicely focused beam and is lightweight.Suppose to run 3 hours on high (100 lumens) and 72 hours on low (10 lumens).I probably would have given this 5 stars if it was a bit cheaper, say $15 or so.UPDATE 2013-06-17: I'm reducing my rating to 2 stars because the power button has become flaky and I never did use the flashlight a lot. It's now difficult to easily change the output power to the desired level.

I used my original Icon Modus 2 for several years and it never once let me down. After that several year workout (being my number 1 "go to" flashlight), the on/off switch finally gave out. This light switches on in the "high" position, an additional click of the switch, kicks it into "low". It is easy on batteries and never failed (until the switch gave out). It's so hard these days to find a reliable "anything", as it seems manufacturer's no longer make things to last (as it's more profitable, I suppose). I was surprised & very pleased that the Icon Modus 2 is a QUALITY Flashlight! I happily ordered another to replace mine immediately.
