American Girl Kit Mini Doll and Book

I got this as a birthday party favor, and it was a total hit! The doll is adorable, well-made, and the little book adds a special touch. The girls were thrilled with their gift. A lovely, high-quality option for something small but memorable!

Our daughter fell in love with Kit, but she already has 2- 18” dolls and lots of other toys with very little storage space remaining. This doll was the perfect solution, it saved so much money over the 18” size that she got more than one American Girl doll of this size and she loves to play with them together. They go really well with the fully furnished dollhouse that we already have making these even more fun. In addition, this size of doll travels easily even in a kid sized purse, so these dolls can conveniently entertain a child almost anywhere. Please note that the book is miniaturized, as if the doll were going to read it. It is legible for those with good eyesight or enough magnification, but you will be disappointed if you are wanting to purchase a full sized chapter book for reading, as you will need to do that separately. This is more of a cute doll accessory or maybe a novelty you can use to show off what tiny print you can read. This set is still a great value that saves money and space.

Mini American Girl Molly Doll made a nice birthday gift for my granddaughter. I also bought some of the Molly books too. This was a win for her birthday gift from nana. I made some clothes to fit it too. I found an old Lane mini cedar chest and put them in that to have a place for her to store her doll and clothes.

I bought Kit and Samantha for my two granddaughters for Christmas. They love them. I think they are actually cuter in person than in the pictures. Seem to be very sturdy and the clothes are precious. Some have complained about the little book that comes with the doll but it is not really meant to be read, it's a prop for the doll. My girls really like that each doll has her own book. If you need a readable book to go with the doll you have to purchase that separately as I did. Dolls make great traveling companions as well because of the mini size. Overall a big thumbs up for these dolls.

Cute doll, but it's much smaller than I really realized. Even though it's recommended for older kids, I bought this as a gift for my 5 year old niece based on other reviews, and unfortunately she was unimpressed. Unless you have a mature kiddo, it would probably be a bigger hit with an older kid. Although it seemed like a good value for an American Girl doll product, the small size makes it seem overpriced.

What an adorable mini doll! My 4 year old loves her Kit mini doll. She is very well made and has amazing details to her. The dress comes off and there is actual underwear under the dress as well. The only problems we had was with the hair clip. It came off constantly and we ended up losing it. My daughter was pretty upset about it at first but got over it quickly. This was a great purchase for my little girl since I don't think she is ready to have a bigger doll yet.
