Had to redo my review. After rating 5 stars the battery worked fine at first and charged fine but after couple weeks battery started to stay at one percent and then started to turn my phone on and off by itself. And started to display a negative for battery health, found out it was the battery after having to reinstall my old battery that has 70% health and that maintained charge as well as charges but doesn’t last long do to health. Lesson learned never throw away your old battery,

I’m in my 60’s. I remember popping the back off the phone and slipping the new battery in…at the most maybe unscrewing a couple of screws to get the back off. Yep…I know the phones are far more advanced, but I figured I probably only had to unscrew a few screws. If I had bothered to take my iPhone out of the protector that it’s been in since I bought it, I’d have realized this was not the case…or if I had googled how to replace the battery! Or if I’d thought about the fact that it was water resistant so there would most likely be more involved. I didn’t really pay much attention to the tools it showed coming with the replacement battery. I simply didn’t look at what I was ordering well enough. Being retired, I’m on a fixed income. I don’t know anyone who can put this battery in my phone. So now I have a much needed battery, with no way to install it. I can’t chance screwing up my phone by attempting it myself. I can’t afford a new phone at the moment. So unfortunately, I guess I’m stuck having to pay for it to be replaced. Since it was totally my fault for ordering something I’m unable to install, I gave it 4 stars. I didn’t give it five because I don’t know of it included everything needed to do the replacement or how good the battery is.

I haven't installed these yet, but since I'm a professional in the field of tech and especially phone repair; I can tell you that I'm a good judge of the kit itself. As for the battery replacement, its fairly straightforward and is absolutely nothing like installing a new screen. Its very easy. Pop the screen off, unscrew the plate, change batteries, and reverse order. So the tricky part is the seal, if you want to waterproof it... you'll need to take the screen off.Back to the kit- this includes everything in a sealed plastic pouch. There's no question marks about what it's all for, the battery isn't in some loose box that'll be punctured - its sturdy.The tools themselves are disposable, but you may get a few uses out of them if you don't strip the tips when taking apart the phone. You cannot put any hard pressure during the installation, these electronics are sensitive and one slip may damage a tether, cord, or the board itself.This is a great kit for any beginner to fit into their tech repair adventure. I know the size of an 8+, and I'll be changing one out soonish.. so it looks though it'll fit, I'm not worried about that. The kit is absolutely one of the more professional ones I've seen. After my iPhone X could barely last four hours off the charger, this replacement battery kit brought it back to a better performance. The included tools are used for take off the shell part and the inner things (especially the plastic pry tools and screwdrivers) . Now my phone charges well and the battery can last 7-9hours with not heavy daily use. Honestly impressed with this battery. My iPhone 12 Pro Max was draining way too fast and I didn’t want to pay Apple a crazy amount since my apple care has expired, so I gave this a try. The kit comes with everything you need, and the tools were actually decent. I followed a YouTube tutorial and was able to get it done without too much stress. Quite easy to install.The battery life is seriously amazing. This 16200mAh upgrade keeps my phone going all day depending on how I’m using it. Functionality wise, everything works just like normal. No weird glitches, screen touch still responsive, bright. Face ID works fine, and it charges like it should. No overheating or lag so far either.If your battery's giving up on you and you’re down to do a little DIY, this is a solid option. Totally brought my iphone back to life and saved me money.

Requires many more tools than any avg person owns, like a heat pad to warm the glue to get your phone open. The tools are not helpful. All I could do was unscrew the 2 screws on the bottom and now they’ve lost. There are zero instructions. Says go watch the video on youtube. With no url or anything. I have to get it professionally repaired, anyway. Not sure if they’ll accept outside parts. I would return this but I got w Amazon Vine program to review, and I can not use it. 4th time. :(
