Works as advertised. These are the proper plugs to use with the Klein pass-thru crimper and they were simple to use and worked perfectly. A bit pricey, but much easier to use than non pass-thru plugs where you have to separate and trim all of the wires accurately to avoid shorts and opens. These are all I will use in the future.

Very good for the DIY’er who needs the ‘pass thru’ type of connector. This allows you to strip the outside insulation off, untwist the 4 pairs, and then place them in correct order to slide in the connector. This allows you to pull the entire thing onto the outside insulation and crimp into place. Small diagonal cutters are needed to trim all the ends flush to the connector and you’re good to go.

These DO work with 23AWG wire! In fact, I wish I had purchased these to begin with. Don't be misled by bad reviews!I purchased the NavePoint Cat6 Plenum (CMP), 1000ft, White, Solid Bare Copper Bulk Ethernet Cable, 550MHz, 23AWG 4 Pair, Unshielded Twisted Pair (UTP) (ASIN: B07HGK9QVN) cable and was concerned that these connectors wouldn't work (because of the reviews). So I bought another brand instead (ASIN: B07TT7WSP2) because they said they were specifically for 23AWG. Those other connectors were junk. Let me repeat, those other connectors WERE JUNK. I had to put multiple ends on before they would connect at gigabit speeds.So I went back to these Klein connectors and they worked perfectly. They were easier to use and they connected at gigabit speeds on the first try. I didn't have any issues with the NavePoint Cat6 23AWG wire, they slid right up over the sheathing with no problem.Another side note - those other connectors wouldn't properly cut when crimping/trimming off the ends. But these Klein connectors trimmed perfectly when crimped. I would highly recommend using the Klein Tools VDV226-110 Wire Crimper to go with these connectors.

I found the Klein Tools VDV826-703 Pass-Thru™ Modular Data Plug, (CAT6, 50-Pack) to be easy to use. This is my first-time using pass-thru connectors, and I have mixed feelings, but that’s not what this is about. The 23 AWG wires fit in snuggly but did require a bit of convincing to pass thru. They are more expensive than some others that are available, but I know these will work perfectly, especially with a same brand crimper.2. The Klein Tools VDV226-005 Compact Pass-Thru™ Modular Crimper did its job flawlessly. The insulation is held tightly in place, the crimp felt secure, and the pass-thru wires were cut perfectly flush. I still need to try this with cheap plugs, to see if they are cut just as flush, but these work great with their own.3. While I don’t usually use boots, I decided to give them a shot as they make the wires look more “finished”. I purchased the blue Soft Plastic Ethernet RJ45 Cable Connector Boots by Copapa. While they didn’t cost much, they were very soft and fit okay. I wish they were a little tighter around the wire, but that can vary from brand to brand. Overall, I’m happy with them.4. Once the cables were completed, I plugged them into a H!Fiber NIC (Intel I350-T4 chipset). They all fit nicely together, even with the boots. That network card is not the V2, and that was expected. The V2s are harder to find and there are no performance differences. The revision was made to fix a slight power surge during power-on. The network card performed flawlessly with pfSense and I was able to configure two LAGGs with LACP support. One to a Cisco managed switch, and the other to my cable modem (SB8200) but I’ll save those for a different review. This card is working perfectly.

I found these hard to use with cat 6, 23 gauge cable though this was my first time making ethernet cable connectors. If your cable is 24 gauge or smaller, these should work well for you. Klein products are pricey but are dependable and reliable.

I always use these ends and have never been disappointed. I never have a bad end or issue with them. They are a little more money VS others but it is money well spent IMO. You get what you pay for.

I haven't had any problems with these cat6 plugs so far. They are more expensive than some of the cheap ones available on Amazon, but these are probably more economical in the long run since the others leave way too much slip and give, which will probably lead to failure eventually.
