Works like a charm!
No more yelling or calling on my cell phone with my wife to find out the signal level on the TV when setting up our DirecTV in our travel trailer. Set the "tilt" on the dish to whatever it's supposed to be... then find the signal. Works like a charm!

All I needed
For the small cost of this meter it was all I needed to set up my satellite dish at a steeler tailgate party. once I got it close with the meter I used menu 6-1-1 on my dish network receiver to fine tune the dish with the receivers signal strength meter on the tv. You just have to make sure you are set at the right elevation or you will pick up the wrong satellite. There is a website that will tell you what elevation you need to be at for the area you are in and show you using google earth which direction you need to point it in.

OK but not the best for DirecTV SWM systems.
Seems to work OK but falls short of what I really wanted. I carry a SWM DirecTV dish in my RV and set up when I make camp. These finders can be used to align SWM systems but, though low cost, they aren't designed for it. My original finder could pinpoint the satellites but has to be removed to check the signal on the receiver itself. My son has a finder that can stay in the loop while watching TV. I was looking for one that could do that as well. This isn't it. If it is connected, the actual signal doesn't get to the receiver. Just makes setup a bit longer.

Works OK
Is a little temperamental but it works just fine if you have some patience. Good for occasional use. Wold not recommend for professional applications.

Another "bait and switch"
I received what I thought was the Eagle Satellite Finder, Model SF-99 today. Guess what? It was the cheaper Model SF-95. This seller actually placed this cheap model in the box and placed a large sticker that said "Model SF-99" over the area that said Model SF-95. How dumb do they think we are? Are we not going to actually look at the item to see that it is a Model SF-95? I have started complaint proceedings with both Amazon and this seller in hopes they will correct this. I would not ever reward this seller with the lowest possible rating of 1-star.

Got all my HD channels back
When I upgraded my DirecTV to HD, whichever village my installer had just arrived from was shy one idiot. My HD channels were spotty at best and non-existent in wind. With this device and a ladder, I was able to quickly re-align my dish and improved my signal strength from 79% to 91%. All HD channels come through clearly now, even in a storm and through trees. A couple of caveats, read the instructions carefully. The device pegged out at max gain when I tried to site it at the base of the dish. I had to splice it into the cable down near the ground to prevent interference from the dish. Also, it gets its power from the satellite receiver so you need to hook up both ends (duh) before you see any gain. If you don't hear a tone, you're not using it right.

Beware of bait and switch
I was looking for a Satellite Finder and this dealer showed up. The ad showed an Eagle Aspen Satellite Finder SF-99 this is what I ordered. What I received was NOT AN EAGLE ASPEN SATELLITE FINDER SF-99. They sent me a generic SF-95 which does not work worth ad DARN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BEWARE OF BAIT AND SWITCH! I saved the original web page I ordered from.

Easy and awesome!
Very easy to use!! got a 98% signal on the very first time ever attempting to aim a satellite. Only thing to look out for is you have to get the right azimuth because it will pick up signals from satellites on other azimuths if you aim it at them
