The milk chocolate inside is dense and creamy without the waxy, artificial aftertaste you sometimes get with cheaper holiday candy. A quick tip: If you let them sit at room temperature for about 15 minutes before eating, the chocolate center softens up just a bit, making the texture contrast with the crisp shell even better. These are by far my favorite Easter candy! The chocolate is absolutely delicious and the hard candy shell adds a little crunch to it!

Normally I wouldn’t make a point to leave a negative review, but this bag was disappointing. Almost every mini egg in the package was missing most of its candy shell. The coating was cracked, flaking, and separated from the chocolate throughout the entire bag. Instead of intact candy-coated eggs, it felt like a bag of broken pieces. I didn’t open it immediately after purchase, so I wasn’t able to address it through other options. By the time I discovered the condition, it was too late to do anything about it — which made it even more frustrating. I understand minor breakage can happen, but this level of shell damage across the entire bag suggests a quality control issue somewhere in the process. I’ve enjoyed these in the past, but this particular bag did not meet expectations.

When it comes to chocolate, I can usually take it or leave it. However, when it comes to Cadbury's milk chocolate mini eggs, I can't stop eating the whole bag in a short time. I long the thin, matte finish hard shell on the outside of these, and the most excellent Cadbury chocolate on the inside. The ratio of hard crunch shell to chocolate is perfect.
