Hi, I want to buy this bike for my soon-to-be 4 year old. But I am not sure which size. My son is 42 inches. Should I go with the 14 or the 16 inch?

Is this bike pretty light ? I have bought a bmx type bike for another son and it is so heavy makes it harder to pedal

In my opinion this is not a light bike, however this is what makes it sturdy. My 3.5 years old did not find it dificult to pedal. This opinion is subjective - check the specifications of the bike to get exact weight.

Does this bike have coaster brakes?

YES, they do! At least the two I bought do, I bought two bikes at different times and they both have coaster brakes as well as a handbrake for the front wheel.  Both bikes are the smallest size, I think 12", so maybe the larger versions don't.   Both of the twins love them and use only the coaster brakes so far.
