Q: How do you use the wire-wool? I'd be scared it would take off the old polish or damage the surface. I have a Georgian oak table and love the build-up

TBH I haven't used the wire wool yet, but assume that where there is a severe discontinuity (e.g. dent) between undamaged and damaged surface areas on a piece of furniture, you can use the wire wool to smooth and reduce the edge before going on to disguise and polish the flaw.

Q: Can you use the wax directly onto french polish surfaces?.

I applied the polish to my table but because it had been lacquered it didnt perform well. Therefore, I sanded the table back to bare wood, it was then sealed twice using Hardwax Oil, the final application was 3 coats of Gilboy’s polish with buffing in between coats and leaving overnight to allow the product to soak in. Hope this helps.

Q: What is the volume of each tin, would there be enough to do a grandfather clock?

80ml in each tin. And yes there is enough to wax polish a grandfather clock. Please feel free to ask any other questions. kind regards Simon
