Annie Sloan Decorative Decoupage: A Practical Guide

This is an excellent, comprehensive book on gilding, written by a well known U.K. gilding expert. My only quibble is I personally would have liked more information on crackled finishes, but why ask for the moon when we have the stars? This book addresses most other questions in detail, and even provides evidentiary photos of 'PITFALLS' so one can avoid doing the wrong thing. A very useful book.

Annie Sloan's books (I purchased 6) are all beautifully illustrated and have very clear concise directions for an amateur do-it-yourselfer. I loved every single one of these books and the projects I've done through the use of these books have come out very well. I am very pleased and highly recommend them. These books are for beginners as well as experienced DIYers.

I got this book as a gift. The projects in this book were wonderful. I know my friend has loved reinventing old furniture and items in her home utilizing the ideas in this book. The step by step instructions allow for confidence in knowing your project will be sure to amaze and inspire anyone who sees your project.

The book itself was in good shape. However some kind of vacuum packing was stuck, and adhered to the outer cover, and tore it in 3 places when trying to open the package.

Was in new condition and the book itself was exactly what I was looking for. Glad I bought it.

Skip this book. Annie Sloan has a lot of good inspiring books out there but this isn't one of them and frankly I don't typically see her doing this kind of stuff. Guess there was a reason for that. I bought the book thinking maybe I was missing out on something but it turns out I wasn't.
