We had a light-up menu like this at a restaurant. I bought this so I could recreate that experience for special meals at home. There isn't a plastic cover to protect the menu from spills, but that's OK. I can hand write or draw on my menu after it's inserted. Even though the total hard cover is a long rectangle, it fits standard 8.5x11 paper.

The LED backlighting is impressively bright, which makes the menu easy to read even in low-light environments like lounges or clubs That said, there’s no option to adjust the brightness, which might have been a nice touch for more flexibility depending on the ambiance. Who would ever think of this product unless you owned or managed a restaurant? I've never seen these before, but had to give them a try. They are super cool, the lights work. It seems durable. Kind of a fun man cave option nobody else will have.
