Born to Ice

The MOST BEAUTIFUL BOOK I have owned. I'm of fan of Paul's photography, but this book is an absolute STUNNER. Enjoy LARGE full sized pages of unbelievable works. A MUST BUY! Can't wait to own an actual piece! This book satisfies in the meantime.

I am a fan of Paul Nicklen and have been wanted to buy this book but waiting for a good deal. Now that I bought it and I am very happy with this huge coffee table book! Many of the photos I have seen previously from Paul's website and Instagram. However they still amaze me in this printed copy. The prints are of high quality prints. The papers are thick and "meaty". As an avid photographer, I can really appreciate and admire the incredible composition and beauty of those photos. Some people bitched about too many black and white photos in this book. All I can say is that some of the photos are more powerful presented in black and white. Those people that complained may not understand about photography to appreciate them. There is very little commentary and Paul just let his photos do the talking! 👍🏻

This is the most exquisite photo book, it’s more than “just” a book, the details of the land and creatures and a few select people that inhabit the Artic and Antarctic are just BREATHTAKING!!! So beautifully done Paul Nicklen

Paul Nicklen is a visionary. He's dedicated his life to helping raise awareness about ecosystems and wildlife in the arctic. The images he creates are unparalleled and this coffee table book is stunning. It's a great gift for Christmas shoppers because it's winter themed but more than all of that it's a very well designed collection of a dedicated photographer's life's work. It helps raise awareness about climate change and the effects we all have on the planet without being depressing. The arctic is truly a beautiful (if formidable photographically) environment and Born to Ice artfully explains in visuals what we stand to lose if we don't change our ways. Bravo, Mr. Nicklen and Sea Legacy for all the work you do for the arctic and for rest of us.

Great book with awesome pics and a wonderful tale of adventure sailing the polar regions single handed.

Paul Nicklen’s “Born to Ice” is simply breathtaking! He shows us the beauty of our planet’s polar regions and the wildlife that live there. The images are in both color and B&W and are beautifully printed. It is a hefty tome, if I had a mantle I’d put it there for all to see. It truly is a lovely body of work and shows just how wonderfully diverse nature can be. We as a species need to go full bore and clean up our act big time! We can’t let this be a history book for future generations to look at and wonder why we didn’t try to save our fellow creatures when we had the chance. I highly recommend this book!

The most gorgeous photos, talent, purpose, and inspiration. I love following Paul Nicklen. He's an inspiration to me as an amateur photographer and as a lover of wildlife and of the preservation of nature. This is truly a prized piece of art that I keep proudly on my coffee table to enjoy and share. Support his efforts and the efforts of other conservationists and artists like Paul and buy this book!

This book Contains a collection of some the most beautiful image I have ever seen. The photographer provides an intimate view into the Artci life. The mood of each scent is presented in a way that makes you feel you are there! And certainly make you want to plan a trip on my own to this beautiful part of the world! This is a very large coffee table book and you will spend hours enjoying the images by Paul Nicklen ! It’s a little bit of money, not really, it’s worth every penny in my book! Superior quality, would also make a great gift for anyone!
