I very pleased with the unit and the packaging that Amazon used as their vendor for this HP desktop. I wanted increased memory and faster processing speed, and this HP desktop delivers the goods. While it didn't come with an internal DVD/CD unit, purchasing an external unit was easy and very cost effective. The glitch in the transaction was trying to register the desktop with HP. The model and serial numbers listed on box were a little different in reality. HP has an online app that will check your computer for s/n and model #. Once this was completed, I had the accurate numbers.

I was dragging my feet about getting a new computer. Truth is I’m so very happy with it. My old computer was getting so slow and this new one is fast. I’m happy with the Window’s Defender that came with it. I don’t know if my former virus protection was slowing my old computer. I wanted just the tower because I like my monitor and saw no reason to replace it. The big test came when, as typical where I live, the power went out. Once back on and I started the computer, everything came back online quickly.

Shipped in original HP box and packaging was very secure. Easy to setup. Runs great. Updating Windows took a some time, and will be slower over wifi, but this is standard with a new PC and to be expected. With it's compact size and only only an SSD and no optical drive installed the PC is light weight but is sturdy. It's very quiet. I'm running World of Warcraft on max graphic settings with zero processing issues.

I think this is the 7th home computer I've owned over the past 30 years and it is by far the worst. It's loaded with bloatware and Microsoft is doing everything possible to make me forget Google and use their apps for everything. It constantly locks up and I have to wait 5 to 15 seconds for it to catch up when doing the most simple tasks, and just getting it to wake up whenever I want to use it takes about 10 seconds. I don't know what sort of computer to buy these days, but I hope there is something less frustrating than this one.
