This edger works quite well. It's well made and easy to use. It is very sharp and cuts roots when edging very easily. The edger is light weight despise what some of the reviews states. Very happy with this purchase.

Used the shovel/edger to cut circular ring around a tree. It easily cut the grass edges in a nice straight line plus went thru some roots. I have tried this with a straight shovel in the past but the Radius Garden Edger made the job much easier. It has much better construction that other have moon edgers I looked at in the big box stores. Highly recommend.

I ordered it because of my frustration with roots when digging in my yard. I was digger big a ditch and pick would just get entangled in the roots. I was expecting the tool to be razor sharp but it wasn’t. I didn’t think it would work. When I put it to use, was amazed at how it cut through the ground and roots. I dug the ditch quickly with this tool. Edging the yard was easy. A few days later I decided to use a bastard file to sharpen it. It got a sharp edge and it cut through roots like slicing through butter. I have fallen in love with this tool. Recommend it highly.

does a great job of edging flower beds and edging between the lawn and concrete curbs, driveways, etc. Be prepared to work up a good sweat!!

I used this tool to create a trench for metal edging. My yard was built with land fill so it's full of small rocks and there are plenty of roots. This Radius Garden Edger did a fantastic job creating a trench several inches deep. Using the serrated edges and the "v" shape in the bottom, I was able to move along at a good pace whether along a sidewalk or in the yard itself to create a border for plants. The tool is made of very good steel and is made to hold up to heavy usage.

Good quality and a good tool to add to your gardening supplies. It is well made. I don’t use it as much as I use others from the same company. But it comes in handy to have.

I have owned many types of edgers over the years, and they were all hard to use on my soil. This one works like a charm, easily cutting into sod and smaller roots. It is making the job of edging so much easier. It's the perfect size for me, but someone very tall may have issues using this due to the shorter than normal handle. It's not too heavy but it feels very substantial. I highly recommend this.

I'm sure this is a great tool for some gardeners, but it was a miss for me. I bought it to create new garden borders in our lawn. The lawn has sections of crabgrass and the edger just refused to cut through the turf. We went back to using the shovel to do the job. Unfortunately at this price, we returned the edger.

Effective and robust tool for edging paths and lawns where there are stones and small roots in the soil. Effective design helps stop edge twisting and being easily deflected by items in the soil. Good gardening/allotment implement.

This tool does lawn edging well. As others have said, you need to work with very moist ground, and practice the technique of pushing the edger right down, then only half lift the tool out of the ground before moving it along about half the width of the edger. Sounds fiddly but very effective once you get the feel for it. I had very tough buffalo grass that had been overgrown for years, and no other tool would have cut through the roots and stems so efficiently. I'm a small short, older woman, so If I can do it anyone can. :-)
