6 Blade Mandolin slicer easy to assemble and easy to use!
This mandolin slicer is a very good basic easy-to-use slicer. It comes with the slicer and guard which just slips right onto the slicer as well as a pusher to hold the vegetables in place when they get small. It also has a plastic container to hold 3 of the slicers as well as 2 additional places on the underside of the slicer for the other 2 when not in use. There is a blue film on the slicer that needs to be removed before first use. Pictured is the blue film lifted at the corner.Blades are extremely sharp. When the company says "arrows" they man the "tabs" which I show in the picture. You can push on the tabs to remove the blade from the slicer. (BE VERY CAREFUL.) The tabs on the blade part always go towards the bottom of the slicer.Turn the slicer over so you see the front side and insert the top part of the blade into the top of the slicer first while holding the bottom of the blade piece near the tabs. Then carefully push on the bottom part of the blade piece until it clicks into place. Now it's ready to use. I put the guard on and placed the zucchini inside and started slicing. When the zucchini got down to the top of the guard, I used the pusher piece to hold the zucchini in place and finished up slicing. It sliced the entire zucchini. (I already cut the ends off.)I have another unit but it takes too long to assemble all the pieces so I rarely use it. This was much easier and quicker to use. I highly recommend.

Good basic mandolin for the price.
This mandolin slicer is a good value for the price, and the quality also seems to be pretty good. It works very well!I have tried this out on a variety of vegetables with good results. The stainless blades are surprisingly sharp for a kitchen utensil at this price point, and if you've got to slice up a bunch of veg for canning, dehydration, or immediate cooking, it will save you a TON of time.Cleanup is easy and simple. Removing the blade cartridge allows for serious scrubbing on the backboard, and the individual blades can be more carefully cleaned while out of the armature.I only have two small criticisms. While I found the blades reasonably intuitive to change out, my wife, who isn't as "handy", said that she didn't agree with my assessment in this regard. However, once I showed her how blade changes were accomplished, she has no trouble with this operation. The other criticism is that there is no foldout stand, as with most mandolins I've seen. It's no dealbreaker, but sometimes it would be nice to be able to have the utensil support itself without a bowl being under it.

Practice
Only for hard vegetables, need a lot of practice to obtain a proper cut, not easy to use, practice, practice, practice

Simple is better
This is a way better mandolin than the giant gadget ones. The blades are easy to swap and clean and they were sharp enough to cut through sweet potatoes! It's a must have kitchen tool that's really inexpensive.

The price is good and it seems fine.
Not 100% on this yet. This is a bit hard to figure out. It has many blade ‘cartridges’ that I guess, over time, you realize which is best. In the description online it says in reply to, for instance, “Does it slice tomatoes?’ Reply:‘Yes, the NACOLUS 6-Blade Mandoline Slicer can be used for slicing tomatoes, as it is designed for slicing vegetables.” However, the slicer comes with instructions that say do no use to slice tomatoes. The slicer has the center are for whatever blade ‘cartridge’ you choose. On the underside of the slicer there is a holding place for two favorites. The other 5+ cartridges can be stored in the provided case. Another thing… it says not to soak in hot water, not dishwasher safe…as it could distort the shape and possibly cause injury. Another thing, instructions say, that a carrot will stain the slicer, and to remove the stain, to use a cloth with cooking oil. I didn’t slice a carrot, but I don’t yet have this slicer figured out. I primarily ordered it to grate cheese. I use garlic a lot, and it says you can grate garlic. But that’s a bit suspect for me. I will have to experiment with this more and edit this review with better findings. So far, it looks sturdy. It certainly has a lot of blades. I washed everything in hot mild soapy water and I did let them soak while I washed and rinsed with warm water. I certainly didn’t soak them overnight. Again, I’m not so certain what to make of this slicer yet. I certainly wouldn’t yet recommend it to give as a gift! But if you cut a lot of vegetables, I’d might recommend you give it a try. The price is good and it seems fine. If there are any problems with any slicing I’ll update this review to let people know.
