Grow Up, David! (David Books) Hardcover – Picture Book, August 28, 2018

My younger children loved these books so much, & now my granddaughter loves them, too. The pictures are so absolutely cute & simple, with stories that children can relate to! My granddaughter started loving them at 18 months, & at almost 3, she still picks these books first; and we have a LOT of books!

That's what big brothers are for!But the true beauty of "Grow Up, David!" is how relatable it is. If you have a sibling (older or younger!), you'll see yourself reflected in these pages. It's that perfect mix of "Oh my gosh, he did THAT?!" and the heartwarming reminder that despite the sibling rivalry, there's an unbreakable bond underneath all the chaos.The illustrations are hilarious in their own right. David's expressions are pure mischief, and you can practically hear his big brother hollering "DAVID!!!" through the pages. Parents will especially appreciate the exasperated looks on the adults' faces – it's the unspoken "Yup, this is my life now" captured with pen and ink.So, should you get this book? If you want a good laugh, appreciate the chaotic energy of small children, and need a gift to subtly torture your siblings with, then YES. Excellent children book

My grandson loves these.

At the request of my sister in law, we picked up several of these books for my wonderful, beautiful niece and god daughter.She recognized David immediately and her face lit right up which really made our heats swell! These are some of her favorites and it showed.This wasn't her favorite one of the three we bought but she still loved it.

This book is a must have for young readers. As a mother of two Autistic children, this book is great for reinforcing and shaping behavior. It’s easy for my 3 year old and four year old to read, they can relate to the main character, David and can understand why certain behaviors may not be appropriate in various situations.
