Papo - hand-painted - figurine - Marine Life - White Shark Figure-56002 - Collectible - For Children - Suitable for Boys and Girls - From 3 years old

First off I am a big Papo fan. I love their dinosaurs. I have the Papo T-Rex and the Papo Baby T-Rex and I loved them so I bought this one because dinosaurs , sharks and whales are my favorite animals. Since a shark was one of my favorite animals I decided to buy this one. When it arrived it was in our mailbox. It arrived in a yellow bag. When I opened the yellow bag there was a clear bag with the shark inside. When I took the shark out it had a tag on its tail from Papo and some warnings that said only ages 3+ (3 and up). So now that were done talking about the packaging I'm going to talk about the paint job. The shark is a silver gray on top and a white underbelly on the bottom , just like real great white sharks have in reality. The paint is really durable and can be played with in the tub or pool. Now that we're done talking about paint , I'm going to talk about the durability. Is very durable with tough play but I recommend giving it to a collected and not a kid. I display it by my computer and it's very durable. It's not hallow , it's solid plastic that is very durable. And it doesn't have any holes. Now let's talk about accuracy to a real great white shark if you want an accurate great white shark. It is very accurate except for one thing. The clasper (a.k.a shark penis) is not attached to the pelvic fins. So I highly recommend this toy overall.

My husband and I are into nature. We watch many documentaries on Nat Geo Wild and we have bought several from Amazon. In watching them there are several animals and fish we love to watch-fish being the great white shark. In the past he has purchased for me other Papo items; big cats mainly, and we found them pretty awesome. So, when I saw this I had to add it to our little collection. He too is awesome. Yes I believe these are meant to be toys. They are small, durable, and just look cool. I think they would make great toys for kids that are into animals and I believe they make a vast array of different species that would appeal to any child, old enough to have them. But they appeal to us too, and we are grand parents who just love nature. As for this shark, he is awesome and a great addition to our collection. Awesome seller too, by the way. Arrived on time, packaged well...all around worthwhile buy. Thank you so much!!

My grandson loves it. In the shark phase. This is not a flimsy toy. Quality and worth what you spend.

The great white shark is. very natural and durable.

It's not cheap thin plastic. It's solid and heavy. The detail is nice. My own downside is it seemed smaller than expected. I did read the size prior to ordering but should have checked for a picture with a comparison size.

Ordered this recently for my 5 year old son, whom is currently fascinated about Sharks - especially the Great White. He has other sharks from different manufacturers but this quickly became his favorite. It's a solid (I mean really solid) product, heavier than the typical rubber versions and looks reasonably real. Whenever we watch documentary on Sharks or visiting the underwater world, this toy will 'accompany' my son. Color finishing is sturdy despite countless pool visits and 'shark-battles'. It would have received 5-star for educational value if the manufacturer added a leaflet (about Great White shark) together with the product. Overall, a great product representing the Great White.

Size was misrepresented. Advertised with other pool floats. 6 inch long rubber toy. Not happy.

As a great white shark fan, I bought this particular figure because in the picture it looked very well rendered. I appreciated that unlike many other figures, multiple rows of teeth were represented and the paint job in the photo looked very careful. When I received mine however, I discovered that the eyes were painted asymmetrically with one larger than the other. This means that when viewed from the front, my shark appears to be winking! Additionally, unlike in the product photo, there is a very noticeable seam under the shark's lower jaw. No doubt the mount of detailed paint work on the multiple rows of teeth required two-part construction, but it does look a bit odd. Perhaps even more problematic, in the photo it appears that the shark's pectoral fins are flexed down, as with most other shark figures. This is ideal because it raises the torso and face of the shark up for easier viewing. But the pectoral fins of my figure are not flexed down--rather they are virtually flush with whatever surface I put the shark on, such that unless I put the shark up high (i.e. not on my desk as I'd planned) all I can see is a humdrum view from above. So the shark I'd originally hoped to keep next to my computer got stashed up on a high shelf, hiding its winky eye, and for the most part escaping notice. That said, probably none of this will bother your small child if s/he is playing with it. But for display purposes for a (shark crazy) adult, my particular shark leaves something to be desired.
