SUPERB WORKED STRAIGHT OUT OF THE BOX
This is a superb little motherboard and it worked straight out of the box no problems ten mins to set it up and it is fantastic - so many features including an NVME slot !Brilliant - remember to do a bios update to the latest version because it comes with a bios with some security vulnerabilities. - that takes 5 mins to do.Highly recomended - running an i5-8400 like a dream with great audio onboard too.

Great value motherboard
Have always used gigabyte motherboards, there have always been reliable and come with a 3 year warranty for piece of mind. All the sata ports are the right place, and all case wire connections are labeled visablely. This board is good for general office work and will support i3 8th gen /i5 procceessors. If you want this for home i would suggest getting the next model up, beacuse that has hdmi and a m. 2 slot. For me this was for a office who's monitors were old vga connection. Overall good entry level to mid boards.

Amended review as I believe this board was faulty
I`ve built three top end gaming PCs last year using Gigabyte Ultra Durable ATX boards. All PCs working fantastic and installing Windows was simple. So, now I needed a new Home Theatre PC I went with Gigabyte again, only micro ATX this time. The motherboard needed a BIOS update, this started to run OK, loaded the new BIOS and began to erase the old one.It was sat on 0% for half an hour which I thought was a long time. Four and a half hours later it STILL hadn`t moved.I had no choice but to reboot the PC with the thought in my mind that if it had started to erase the BIOS then things may not go well. I was hoping that it had "frozen" before it had actually started to erase. However, on reboot it was dead. It seems the BIOS was now corrupted.I ordered an equivalent MSI mother board elsewhere and tried to install that today. Only problem is the USB front panel connector coming from the CASE is a moulded plastic L shape plug and can only go in one way.The USB front panel connector on the MSI board is RIGHT NEXT to the main power connector. The L shape of the USB plug bends TOWARDS the power connector, and because the two are so close together it is impossible to fit the plug.If the connector hadn`t been L-shaped it would have been OK, but to change that means changing the case, and the case is fine. So, ANOTHER motherboard returned and I`m reordering the Gigabyte one in the hope I won`t get more BIOS issues.

Good Board, Good Price.
Solid board, everything is fairly accessible for a smaller size MB.Had no problems with installation, and everything went smoothly.

great beginer / budget board for starter PC building or entry level gaming
Not a bad board although it is fairly basic I got this one for my sons PC as we were on a budget and only had a set price for a Motherboardbut its fine it has all the things you would expectusb usb2 audio inputs/outputs sataHDMI DP ethernet and more it has no wifi or any fancy RGB or anything like that but as i said it does the Job we put a I5 4600k in with stock cooler a GTX1660 HDD SDD and Corsair 16gb RGB ram all the sockets and fixtures feel normal and as strong as any other main board the only issue we have come accross is the GPU when it sits in its slot and fixes to the case it slightly blocks the HDMI port with a small lip on the case we actually changed case and GPU to try to rectify this but we had the same issue i fixed it by trimming a few millimeteres off the back of the case it self in the first instance after the changes we had the same prob so had to do it again and i put it down to the size of the motherboard so double check your componants are compatable and will fit without a hitchotherwise a good budget board for novice /learner PC builders and enthusiasts a solid 4 / 5

Missing parts when it arrived - Probably a returned item.
I have purchased gigabyte boards before with no problems. However when this arrived it was missing the I/O panel and SATA cables, the bag containing the Motherboard was haphazardly taped up, suggesting this board had been out before and returned (most likely a failed board). I have returned it to Amazon but this has caused a big delay and inconvenience to a system build. I am very disappointed with Gigabyte and sad to see that their previous high standards have slipped so much.

A basic board for a fair price
At £34.00 it is a fair deal , no bells no whistles and a proper support site for drivers etc .( rev1.2 board works with i5-9400f without the need to flash the BIOS )

Not Bad, but...
I've used Gigabyte boards for years in many systems and at all price points and have always been impressed with the quality, performance and value for money on offer. This board continues that tradition though with a couple of minor gripes. The main issue is that the board will not POST without a display connected, and will instead issue a beep code of 5 short beeps which indicates a CPU error. The same is true if you enable the Fast Boot option and use a display which enters a low power state when there is no signal present.Secondly I've had two examples of this board, and both had a degree of flex. The first was returned due to a damaged CPU socket as the cover was not clipped to the socket in transit. That board was flexed to a surprising degree and a second board was much better, but it is worth checking.Other than that, the board offers a decent platform on which to build a budget 8th generation PC. Accessories and documentation provided are minimal, as is onboard connectivity and expansion, but it does the job. My board shipped with the F1 bios which was out of date, and there have been a number of fixes in subsequent releases so updating is recommended.
