Q: If the new lights are properly grounded, and power is wired in to the reverse lights,will the new light work when in reverse?

Yes. Having said that I would use the power to my reverse lights to go parallel to a 12 VDC relay coil, which will close the contacts when you hit reverse. That is the best way to wire this up. Put it through a 12VDC 30 amp relay that is fused where you tap the power off the reverse hot wire.

Q: Can these be powered by a 12v (Ie Cigarette lighter?

Mine are actually wired to a switch which is wired into my cigarette lighter for power. I have had zero issues because they have such a low amp draw. So yes.

Quite bright . Have them on my gator . They are better than the head lights. seem pretty tuff but have not had them very long.shine on

Q: I have a jeep wrangler sahara 1997. I would like flood lights on the sides of the front mirror. Would these work?

Should work and help to better see roadsides. You need an earth wire and fused 12v supply into each door. Probably also two brackets. I used 1/8 inch aluminum strip from local hardware store which is easy to cut, bend, and drill.
