Works Good For Me
I like it... Normally I weld using shielding gas, but I'm welding some pretty thick steel in this project so went to flux core to be able to do that efficiently. It's been a while since I used flux core, but have nothing negative to say about this wire. There is spatter, but no more than what I remember from other flux core wires. Price wise, you're getting 2 lbs for the price compared to some brands that are more for 1lb. Overall, no complaints.

Improves my welding
Much better than the default wire. I went from blowing holes in stuff and lumps of slag to fairly smooth bead on light sheet metal.

Hobart H222108-R19 2-Pound 035" Steel Flux-Core Welding Wire
This .035" flux core wire has been working well for me with my Hobart 140 Handler. The welds it makes are strong and also decent looking when considering that it is flux core. The weld spatter on mild steel plate generally doesn’t seem excessive under most circumstances, even when making multiple passes. This .035 wire is made in the USA and the price here on Amazon for a 2-pound spool was very reasonable, so overall I'm happy with it and will buy again when needed.

Low spatter.
This seems to have a little less spatter than other brands. Worked nicely on a single pass with 0.30 paired with my 110V Harbor Freight titanium 125.1/8” plate t-joint.

EXCEPTIONAL WIRE
Man this stuff is worth the wait in the mail. Clean, smooth, and strong. Cant go wrong with Hobart carbon steel flux cored welding wire.Take note that this wire is a carbon steel. If you look at other options, most of them are mild steel. That is partially why this item costs a bit more than some of the cheap mild steel wire.
