Logitech Harmony 650 Remote Control (Silver)

BEWARE: 1yr warranty is not honored by seller or manufacturer in India.......I bought this less than 6 months ago and this remote went dead. CliqKart refused to replace it as it was post the return period of 10days. Reached out to Amazon, who refused to entertain and directed mw to Logitech. Now the fun part.... Logitech doesnt sell these in India. They refused to do anything and directed me to Amazon again. This kept going on for a few weeks.Out of frustration reached out on mail to Jeff Bezos and after due diligence Amazon refunded full amount. The Amazon management went in a frenzy due to the escalation to Jeff.But, fact remains that warranty was not honored. True gentleman, Jeff Bezos. Wonser how he manages to go thru such email escalations all the time. Will write a note to him again to thank him.Amazon is still selling this product in India!!-------Prior review:Absolutely great value for money. The programmable nature of this remote means we (potentially) are fully future proof no matter what equipment one uses.Slightly expensive but extremely good quality and build. Programming is a breeze.

I purchased the Harmony 650 remote with expectation that it will be possible to configure it easily for myPanasonic Smart TVTATA SKY PLUS REMOTONKYO AV RECEIVER &PANASONIC BD PLAYER.It does not recognize the first two items.Tried to configure through existing remote, but failed.Tried to email Logitech, but there is no direct communication link.

Heavy consumer of batteries. Initially I used Duracel, but have to replace batteries every 2-3 weeks. Finally I shifted to Eneloop rechargeable batteries, these are working well for this remote.As a remote I do every thing expected from a universal remote. Programming is easy with PC.

I have been using this remote since the past few months. It is a very good remote although it is expensive. It can control most of the popular brands & easy to configure. It eliminates the use of multiple remotes. The activity button works like a charm .The bottom bulging shape is a little awkward to hold. The only issue I had was to configure a dedicated button on the Harmony remote for the Open/Close button on the Blue ray player.After approx 4 months of use, I must say that it controls my 11 year old marantz receiver with all the functions beautifully along with Pioneer BDP 180. The set up is also quite easy & one can constantly update the remote from the Harmony website. The remote has a sensor where the back light turns on when it is picked up or moved. Switch off this function to save on Batteries. The same batteries have lasted me for 4 months approx & still going strong. One can also use Eneloop rechargeable batteries with this remote to save the headache of buying batteries every now & then. I strongly recommend this remote even over my Marantz remote which has conked off.

I have paired it with my Xbox, AV receiver, Apple TV & Panasonic TV. It gets confused a lot of time then I have to use help button to make things in correct order. Though I have synced it many time but it seems to take no effect. The on remote screen is really helpful and it is easy to switch between remotes .It has removed all remote clutter from my table. Now there is only one remote to control from.

Great Product from logitech. Not sure why support was stopped in India. had to procure from the US. Paid extra. If you have lot of gadgets with RF remote's this is the universal remote you need. Easy to Setup and understand. Go for it.

Absolutely no support for Logitech Universal remotes in India. My remote stopped working after a few weeks and the service centre couldn't do a thing. No return, no replacement, no refund. Avoid.

Los controles Harmony de Logitech siempre han sido la referencia en cuanto a calidad y funcionamiento y el 650 lo confirma, pero tiene algunos aspectos por mejorar.La configuración se hace mediante la aplicación MyHarmony de Logitech, el proceso es sencillo e intuitivo si el aparato a controlar está incluido en la base de datos de Harmony, a pesar de que la aplicación es lenta sólo toma unos minutos tener el control remoto listo para usarse. Basta escribir la marca y modelo del televisor, reproductor, etc. en el buscador de la App y seleccionarlo en la lista que se muestra.Sin embargo es obligatorio usar una computadora con conexión a internet para abrir una cuenta en el sitio web de Harmony y poder descargar e instalar el software que también debe de contar con acceso a internet para ser usado, igual para agregar un nuevo dispositivo que para cambiar los ajustes de los que previamente haya uno programado.Pero el mayor inconveniente es que si el aparato que uno desea controlar es de modelo muy reciente y no está en la base de datos es necesario programar el Harmony 650 de forma manual, para eso se requiere mucho tiempo y estar probando si funciona bien porque ahí es donde falla el software, es muy confuso y la ayuda poco útil en el "modo aprendizaje" lo que puede hacer frustrante el proceso.Otro detalle es en modo "actividad" donde el control remoto debe encender varios aparatos a la vez y cambiar algunos ajustes como la selección de entrada (input) de algunos. En mi caso para la actividad "ver películas" se debían encender el televisor, un reproductor Blu-Ray y un receptor A/V, y después cambiar la entrada de la TV a HDMI y la del receptor a Video, pero eso no ocurría. El problema era que algunos aparatos tardan unos segundos en estar listos para recibir la señal del control remoto para cambiar la entrada. Se soluciona cambiando el tiempo (latencia) en el que el Harmony 650 envía esa segunda instrucción, pero la escasa información en el manual y el sitio web de Harmony complicó algo que en principio era sencillo de ajustar.En resumen, el control remoto es de excelente calidad y funciona muy bien ya configurado pero el proceso puede volverse largo y tedioso.Recomiendo además usar baterías recargables porque el control remoto consume bastante energía.

Este es mi tercer control de la marca, el 310 lo compre y es el mejor control universal que he probado, simple de configurar (desde la PC solo introduces el modelo de los dispositivos), sencillo de uso con lo que agradeces tenerlo en lugar de los controles de cada aparato.El 650 es un control mas completo pero es un tanto mas complejo de usar, no se basa en los dispositivos, si no en actividades y el control se encarga de encender y apagar todos los dispositivos en secuencia, por ejemplo, la actividad, ver TV enciende el STB, la TV y el Home theather, si la TV esta en otro input lo pasa al del STB, si seleccionas escuchar música apaga la TV, apaga el STB y cambia el home theater a bluethooth para conectar el celular o la tableta.El problema es que si por alguna razón apagaste los aparatos de manera manual, el control se queda como si estuvieran prendidos y no puedes volver a encenderlos en secuencia, lo mismo pasa si moviste el control antes de tiempo y no se alcanzaron a apagar todos los aparatos, para mi no hay problemas porque "Ya le encontré" pero para mi esposa y gente que no este familiarizada les cuesta mucho trabajo y finalmente dejan de usarlo.Cabe mencionar que el material es bastante bueno, son muy resistentes, se nota la diferencia con otros controles universales, las baterías les duran una vida.Espero que logitech vuelva a sacar controles mas sencillos como el 310, el 650 es bueno pero se volvió demasiado complejo para el publico en general.

Tuve un modelo 300 como 10 años hasta que el botón de encendido ya no servia, son de buena calidad y este se ve de la misma calidad.Este te permite generar secuencias de comandos entre muchos dispositivos y poner pausas por lo que pude configurar secuencias para prender TV con amplificador con Apple TV e iniciar netflix. Se configura esto en un software en la computadora.TIP, algunos comandos por alguna razón no te deja agregarlos a secuencias de comandos pero ahí lo qué haces es que tomas el control remoto original del dispositivo y lo apuntas al Harmony para que aprenda el comando y los comandos que aprende el Harmony si te deja meterlos en secuencias entonces si no te aparece la opción que quieres al armar una secuencia pues grabas el comando.No es el software más amigable del mundo para configurar pero pues ya que te queda funcionando ya no lo necesitas.Contento con la compra.

Sometimes the all off and watch TV button doesn't work so I have to power stuff down one by one etc. The one thing the makes me so mad is I leave it on my satellite receiver mode. But the in order to adjust volume I have to hit 5 buttons. Back. Tv. Adjust volume. Back. Satellite. Same goes for mute. I tried explaining this to their reps. They just don't get it. So I gave up. It's annoying. And almost sent it back because of it. You might think it's not a big deal. But it becomes irritating fast. It needs a dedicated volume option.It continues to forget things. I continually have to hit the help button to turn things on and off. It's a terrible remote. I dislike it. Alot.

Al principio sientes el impulso de agarrar otro control remoto en lugar de usar el menú gráfico para cambiar de aparato; pero una vez que te acostumbras deja de ser una molestia.La aplicación generalmente funciona bien, aunque pudiera ser frustante que no encuentre el modelo exacto del aparato a controlar (esto pasa especialmente con aparatos de gama baja y/o relativamente viejos).Los decodificadores de Izzi sí están soportados, hay que buscarlos en la aplicación con el modelo correspondiente y elegir la marca Cablemas.
