This is like playing in the Witcher games. Other renditions of Gwent dont even compare. No extra rules, no extra side characters, no weird alterations. This is literally like playing Gwent straight out of the Witcher games. Quality is 10/10, Cards are beautiful and the playmat is perfect. If you have a Witcher fan in your life this is 100% a go to purchase. Trust me, they will love it.

The only downside is that the “game board” is an amazing Witcher 3 poster. Game is super simple to learn. Keep the rules handy until you know your way around the cards!

Absolutely awesome! Gameboard is poster paper but seems durable enough for a few games, highly recommend building or buying a separate board and preserving the poster. But the cards are high quality! The coin, rubies and score markers are cardboard as well, but I bought the game for the cards not the tidbits, and definitely over delivered.

I’ve been looking for an affordable version of Gwent for a long time, so I was really excited to see an official set of decks come out. The cards are good quality and organized well, but the other components are a little cheap. The play mat is a poster rather than a game board and it’s not even laminated so it’ll get destroyed eventually. The game tokens are cardboard pop outs, which is fine but I would have rather paid an extra 20 or 30 bucks on an actual game board and plastic tokens. The same is with the rule books which are fold out pamphlet style, I would have rather paid another 5 bucks to have them in booklet form. So. I think this is a great start to bringing Gwent to life, but it’s still a little cheap. That said, I’m still super happy to own a version of Gwent I can play with my friends. I loved the minigame in the videogame. I’m a vine reviewer which is why I wrote this review in this way, but I bought this outside of the program.

Look no farther than this, for not even the most famed Witcher, the White Wolf himself can resist the allure of Gwent! Seriously- it's fun, easy to learn, and has all your favorite cards! Gamble the days away with all four of the greatest decks! (And Skellige for you non-gwent purists.)
