Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots - 25th Anniversary Edition [Playstation 3 PS3]

Make no mistake, as a game, Metal Gear Solid 4 is five stars. It's an absolute must own for this generation of Playstation. So why just three stars here? Because the overall value of this product *sucks*. It's a completely unnecessary release that offers nothing new other than a poster, different artwork for the case, and a seriously beefed up price tag. They didn't even bother to throw in the bonus DVD that came with special editions of the original.I honestly can't figure out who this is for at this point in time and at this price. I mean, say you have every Metal Gear game except for MGS 4: is it really worth it to pay over *twice* as much as the standard edition to get a poster? To some people, perhaps. If that's the boat you're in, more power to you.Let's say you're starting from scratch and you want to experience the Metal Gear saga in its (near) entirety. Should this edition be one of the purchases in a pieced together collection, or should you just pay $6.75 more and get the Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection - Playstation 3, which includes this game, plus five others, and a 100 page art book? It really just boils down to how bad you want that poster...**Update 1/31/14**When I originally posted this review, this was priced at over double what it is now. At $19.99, it's still a little on the high side for a game this old, but it's not a ridiculous price. I bumped the rating up from 3 to 4 stars.
