If you want to have a good knowledge in grammar then you should definitely purchase this book, this book is very well written so that you can understand a complex thing in a very simple way, the contents given in this book are very well written. This book is welly written for School, College students as well as for those who are preparing for Competitive Exams and also for those who want to have a good knowledge in English. This is one of the best book ever , this book gives a clear and easy to understand explanation of the topics.There are two parts they are:-Book 1 - grammar :-It contains 43 chapters and takes almost 150 pages (total pages are 420)Book 2 - composition :-It has several parts , totally 4 they are :-Part 1 analysis transformation and synthesisPart 2 correct usagePart 3 structuresAnd part 4 written compositionAll together they are up to 45 chapters in the second section which takes up 270 pagesI like this book because it as a clear explanation of the chapters given in the bookit lacks the answer keys , it is given in a separate bookThis might be too costly but this book is awesome and better than the regular edition which is less costlyIt has coloured illustration which makes learning funI suggest you to buy this book

The colored version though a little expensive is much better than the B/W version .. reason being that in the colored print version the examples are much more clear (due to change in font color) while in the B/W version the examples are not that cleareg in colored version page 12 it says "A verb is a word used to express an action ..... " as eg:-The girl wrote a letter to her cousin.In the colored version the verb "wrote" printed in bold hence it is very much easier to make that out. While in the B/W as we see here, all letter are in same font/color ... hence very hard to make out what is verb (it will be much more harder for kids to do so)

The book is great for school kids and also those who want to polish up on English grammar. Nice colourful little pictures make the book interesting. The print is not too large but doable for reading, not for long hours though. The book covers grammar and composition really well. Total pages are 420. Every home should have this book and also the key book which has all the answers.

The book cover had water damage on the cover, corners worn out and had mould smell. I did not even want to touch it. I'm very disappointed that I paid for shipping to get a damaged product!

Very Good book on English Grammar.

Be aware that this is written by a U.K.- educated writer. Hence, some of the phrasing of examples and even the instructions utilize "The Queen's English". That said, it is otherwise well done and an excellent resource for teaching.
