GLACIER FRESH PPC/C/RO Filter Replacement for GFU03 Reverse Osmosis System

I have had our new LG refrigerator now for about 6 or so months and had to replace the original water/ice filter. My first thought was convenience and ran to the local Home Depot. They did have the LG replacement for a mere $60, of which filter 200 gallons, I was just about to go to checkout and texted my wife just to Google the filter Model number and see what is available. Come to find out I purchased these in a 2 pack for a little over $17 and the water is awesome tasting. It just URKS my sole when companies try to take advantage. You won't regret buying these instead.

There are little white flaky things that are in my water with this filter. it is a brand new fridge in a brand new house. I don't know why these amebas aren't being filtered. Previously I was using a ZeroWater pitcher, that filter literally took everything out of the water, it was crystal clear. With this filter I am reviewing, I have this thought in the back of my mind that I am drinking little pieces of toilet paper that made it through the water supply and my filter... so I don't drink that much water from my fridge anymore.

I live in an area where the water is great and doesn't need filtration. But, my new LG refrigerator came with a filter and I don't really want to anger the Refrigerator gods by running water and ice through it without the filter. After the OEM filter reached six months of service, I replaced it with this Glacier Fresh filter. It was a perfect fit - once I found where LG buries the filter in this refrigerator. The water and ice still tastes great and I saved beaucoup bucks by purchasing from Glacier Fresh rather than from LG.

We just started using this filter today, and the water is super pure & clean tasting, as in no taste! I already had one in for 3 months, and just found that I hadn't fully twisted the filter in, so it wasn't even flowing through the filter. It takes fairly high effort to twist it in all the way, probably about 180 degrees turn or more. It should initially flow black carbon-colored water, or you probably didn't turn it in all the way in. I hope that helps some of you who don't think it's working.

This LG refrigerator water filter replacement appeared to be constructed well, was easy to install, and didn't leak. Water flow even appears to be better (faster flow) when compared to the original LG filter. So far, I'm pleased with it. Plus, the cost was much less than the LG's brand for the same filter. I'll see how it holds up in a few months from now -- but right now I would recommend it if you're looking for an economic alternative to the LG Brand filter.

Well, I ordered a couple water filters and they arrived in a prompt fashion. They even fit the fridge. So far so good. I guess they are working and doing what they should be. No complaints from the fridge so I guess I'm happyl The price was satisfactory as well.

These are just replacement water filters for my LG Fridge. They were easy to get and priced right.

We’ve had an LG fridge for about 7 months now and had the water filter that came with it installed. From the start, it had a chemical/chlorine taste that I hoped would go away with time, but never did. It was time for a filter replacement, so I checked Amazon first and went with these for the price. Our water tastes great now, for so much cheaper than any other brand I saw, especially LG. Hoping they hold up!
