Arrived healthy and ready to go right into my tank. The moss and fern look amazing, and my shrimp love grazing and hiding in it. Super low-maintenance—perfect for beginners!

Came early. Very healthy and green. It was very warm and moist inside the package. Shape is so beautiful on this Java fern! I’m not sure of the growth rate on these yet but I’m about to get a full spectrum light today from Amazon and that should help my plants grow faster. I also use liquid plant food for them. I used aquarium glue from Amazon to put the ferns on a rock I found and rinsed well. So far the ferns seem to be doing well! Well worth what you pay for them.

Ordered the Java Fern four days ago. It arrived via FedEx in a small box, inside sealed plastic that had been misted for traveling moisture. The fern, though on the smaller side, arrived alive, healthy, and beautifully green. I inspected it for any hitchhiker snails and found none. I have it sitting in a cup of my aquarium water to watch it overnight, but it is in great shape from what I can see. I would definitely buy from them again.

I’ve ordered a few pieces from substrate source. This specific one is doing great and thriving. Java fern on driftwood and it looks perfect after a few weeks. They are true to their word with refunds with dead on arrival plants, so I appreciate that. The large piece of this I got is definitely large!
