Necessary Protection for Delicate Glass
Have a fairly good pair of binoculars optically, but the lens covers that came with these glasses were poor, at best. The covers were split and lost in no time, leaving the lenses unprotected. Luckily, these covers were located and purchased, and they do provide excellent fit and protection. They not only protect the delicate lens surfaces from rain, but also from dirt, dust, and fingerprints. When installing, just remember to attach them - with their loop - to the binocular strap so they are themselves not discarded or lost. On initial observation, these seem expensive for what they are, but their quality, fit, and provided protection are nothing less than superb. Keep in mind, if the binoculars were worth purchasing, they are worth protecting. In that vein, this is well worth the asking price. One last thing: make sure you measure the outer diameter of the eyepiece ( with a millimeter ruler ), containing the lens and the housing. A guess here could result in guards that are too large to protect well or, worse, too small to be useable. That being said, these deserve a ' 10 ', or 5 full stars.

Perfect for my binoculars
A few years ago I bought a pair of Vortex Viper 10x42 binoculars at Viper's stand in the British Birdfair for a ridiculously low price, minus the rainguard. I was told about it and didn't care, because the high quality optics were foremost in my mind. A few years later, after having my binos rained on numerous times, and having to wipe the glass to see anything (the binoculars are outstanding and will withstand anything the elements throw at them), I finally realized a rainguard was an important accessory. So of course I figured Amazon could resolve this. After researching the options, I chose the Opticron, although somewhat dubious about the measurements and the fit -- none of the available rainguards quite matched my binoculars. Good job, girl! They fit perfectly and are now hanging from the strap. No more rain on my optics.

Nice replacement cover for Nikon 10x42
Lost rainguard for Nikon binoculars. This attaches more securely and fits more tightly, may loosen with use.

Fine Fit
Got this for an expensive Nikon set. I like the way the cover can fit the glasses no matter how far apart or close the lenses are. All in all, a pretty good design.

Great Product
I have an older pair of Bushnell 10 x 50 binoculars which always sits on a table in our sunroom for backyard bird watching. For years they sit like this, eye cups up, unprotected, collecting dust and dirt on the ocular lens. Fortunately, I happened by chance to see these at Amazon, and found this one of three that would fit the eye cups on my binos. The measurements they give are accurate. These fit and work perfectly. The flexible middle section conforms to whatever width the barrels are adjusted. The loop for the strap is the only common sense way to go. I paired these with the OP/TECH USA Utility Loop Connector and the Bushnell Deluxe Binocular Harness from Amazon as well. Now my binos stay clean and are ready to go to the field.

It fits but...
The cover fits ok, it's just the condition of it. This is SUPPOSED to be NEW, but it must have been a return, unless it comes from the factory with gouges & scratches! I didn't have my glasses on when I got it a few days ago, didn't even notice. Grabbed them to bring outside this morning and saw the gouge and thought WTF? They stay in the case, no way it got scratched in the case all by itself. Next time I'll scrutinize it a bit better. Quality control sucks nowadays!

Very thin plastic - not rubber
If you do birding or hunting or target shooting, after a while you find out that there are only two good brands of binoculars in the sub $1,000 range - Nikon with its Monarch 5 and 7 series and Vortex with equivalent series. They come with 30+mm objective lenses for better portability and $40+mm for the ultimate experience. Nikon has terrible eye caps and Vortex - extremely stiff mechanics. Optics is great on both. So I bought these caps to replace my terrible Nikon front caps. Also tried the excellent Vortex ones - both sizes, but they don't work size-wize - Vortex doesn't want to give freebies to Nikon. These caps work. They stay on the eye pieces unlike the Nikon ones. They are thin cheap plastic and have a couple sharp edges. Ultimately I went with another no-name brand from Amazon made from thick rubber. I kept these as well just in case. Glad to find two working solutions after 15 years of suffering.
