This is THE perfect carrying case for a "My Passport" HDD. Can't find a single thing not to like. It's protective, simple, great quality, nice design, and colors, has a holder for the HDD and a pocket for the cable, and it's very affordable on top of all that. It's just perfect.

Quality seems to last for quite a while, it will provide enough protection for small bumps and avoid scratching your precious External HDD. The zipper is mediocre not that top notch but for the price it's a good deal.

Compact. Just managed to squeeze in my Transcend into this. However i think it will be suitable for most external drives. The hard case is not super hard ... But can probably just enough protect your hdd from a moderate fall.

The item is worth buying for those who want to keep their WD Hard Drive's protected. Quality is indeed worth your money and delivery was fast and neatly placed in a box. Keep it up Amazon. This is the way to do it.

The shell is not very hard and can bends especially in the corners as I have notice in one of my casses. However, I purchased it for future use since the price is good and it is useful to keep the external HDD safe (for light usage). Size is suitable for most of the available external HDD in the market.

As expected, looks good and its compact and very nice, fits my hard drive.

I have multiple external hard-drives, some of them are bulky and are meant to keep a backup at home. Some of them are smaller ones which I use to carry my photos and other files around with me while I am traveling or transporting data between home and office. Two of them are small 1TB and 2TB USB3.0 hard-drives. I wanted to buy a case for them. After considering a lot of hard and soft cases from various sellers, I stumbled upon this and thought of giving it a try. And it was a wise decision !!! As I always say, Amazon Basics items are equivalent (if not better) to quality in other comparable items from different manufacturers and yet they are available at almost half the price (and sometimes even lesser than that). I have many of the Amazon Basics items and I am not unhappy with any of them. And this is no exception. A few good things: 1. The exterior is pretty hard and you can rest assured that your HDD will be protected even if this case is buried deep down in the luggage. 2. Soft interior makes sure that the HDD stays safe even if there is some pressure on it from other items in the luggage. 3. This case is made for HDD which do not require an external power because there is not much space inside for any adapter. However, there is a mesh pocket which can be used to store the USB cod safely. 4.Even if its hard and durable, the case is pretty light-weight and wont ad much weight to your luggage. 5. Although its advertised for Western Digital My Passport but it can be used to store other USB powered HDDs which are up to 5 inches in dimension. I have one of these for my Seagate 1 TB HDD. 6. It also has an elastic band to hold the HDD securely in the case while in use. 7. The zipper is of very good quality and will not fail on you anytime soon. Cons: The only disadvantage I can think of this case is that there is none. If I have to count one, I would say it would have been better had they made a small zipper pocket inside the case (which would be of great use to photographers like me to also store their memory cards in it while on a trip. All in all, this is an excellent case at excellent price. AMAZONBASICS DOES IT AGAIN !!!!!

Overall Purchase: Recommended Main reason to buy case for me is to protect disk from scratches and to organize USB and disk together. So it's a perfect case of hard disk. I am keeping my WD My Passport hard drive along with USB and few pen drives. I am using this case from last two months so can't comment on durability but everything else is perfect so happy with the purchase. Likes: Quality is good. Looks elegant and I bought it for Rs. 369(including tax and shipping) so seems very reasonable. Zip is quite smooths. Dislikes: Nothing so far. * not waterproof if you are wondering
