Last time my DPF got blocked I paid £200 for a chap to come and clear it. This time I used this product and it appears to have done the job. However two caveats: I had also bought a TopDon diagnostic tool capable of clearing errors and performing a forced regen, I'm not sure how successful I would have been without that. Secondly there were no instructions whatsoever on the can or an included leaflet and you really need to know what you're doing, so because this is aimed at the home user that is definitely 1 star off.

I used this as my dpf was blocked completely and the emissions on my car where 9 times the mot limit. I was very sceptical at first as i have used many products claiming to do the job and never worked but after applying this direct to the dpf and running a forced dpf clean on diag my dpf level was 0% took car back to mot and the emissions come out at half of manufacturers limit of 0.51 would recommend to anybody who wants to clean the dpf of there car well worth the money.

Don’t waste your money. Followed instructions and squirted it into pressure sensor pipe hole and left it. When I started engine again there was no difference in pressure valve. Save your money and either get it professionally cleaned or take it off like I had to and take it to be cleaned.

Not many motorists know that one can specifically target the DPF with a cleaning fluid like JLM DPF Cleaner Spray injected with the DPF in place, without needing to go through the fuel tank and the (entire) fuel system. This will not risk causing any unwanted damage to the injectors, fuel pressure pumps, sensors, turbocharger, seals, catalytic converters and so on. With this method the cleaner goes only where it needs to go, there it does the job and then leaves through the tailpipe. One only needs to find a way/port into the DPF depending on the specific engine/system, via the back/exhaust pressure sensor pipe, or the pre-DPF side of the two lines attached to the differential pressure sensor. Once injected, the cleaner needs to be left for about a quarter-hour to sit and dissolve the soot and deposits. following that, the engine will need to be taken for a drive on the highway for at least half-an-hour or the engine will need to be revved up to about 3k revolutions/min for around ten minutes. There will be smoke and foam at the tailpipe, but that is normal for the operation. This method will eventually unclog a blocked DPF or will improve flow through one, reducing DPF regeneration temperatures (and frequency). A slightly more advanced diagnostic tool may be needed to reset fault codes and possibly tell the system that a new DPF has been fitted.

Bei meinem Fahrzeug leuchtete regelmäßig die Motorkontrollleuchte (MKL) aufgrund eines DPF-Fehlers. Zusätzlich hatte das Auto spürbar weniger Leistung. Nachdem ich dieses Reinigungsspray gemäß Anwendung direkt in den DPF eingebracht habe und anschließend mit einem OBD-Scanner eine DPF-Reinigung bzw. Regeneration gestartet habe, kam deutlich sichtbarer Rauch und Ruß aus dem Auspuff. Nach dieser Behandlung war der Fehler vollständig verschwunden und die Leistung hat sich merklich verbessert. Auch im OBD-Scanner konnte ich sehen, dass der Differenzdruck im DPF gesunken ist. Für mich war das ein voller Erfolg – und auch nach rund 8.000 km läuft alles weiterhin ohne Probleme. Ergänzend muss ich erwähnen, dass die Verstopfung vermutlich durch einen defekten Temperatursensor entstanden ist. Dieser hat fälschlicherweise angezeigt, dass der DPF warm genug sei, obwohl er in Wirklichkeit zu kalt war. Dadurch konnte keine ordentliche Regeneration starten und der Filter hat sich zugesetzt. Zum Glück funktioniert nach der Anwendung des Produkts wieder alles einwandfrei.
