After a few initial set up stumbles, works perfectly as expected
Like any piece of tech gear that offers a lot of control & functionality, it took some time to learn how it works and figure out all of the features. Once I had, all works as promised, reliably and repeatably.I'm using it to fire an older canon 550EX flash. It will not control the flash manually out of the box, there is a custom function that you enable in the menu to cause that to happen for the 3 older EX series flashes from a few years ago. No more difficult than holding the function button down until the custom function list appears, scroll to function #5 and enable it. Now you can adjust the output of the flash from 1/128 to 1/1 from the 622-TX's main screen. EX flash is always set to ETTL mode regardless. Using ETTL, it works out of the box, as you'd expect and so far the exposures seem correct and adjustable. Have not done a lot of testing though, I shoot in static studio situations and use manual power control. One issue that I encountered that caused a lot of frustration at first, is that the TX unit did not seat correctly in my 6D's hot shoe, so it was just acting like a basic manual flash- no custom control and the camera's internal flash control menus showed that no flash was connected. I could fire the flash using the TX's test button and it fired at full power when I released the shutter but could not adjust the output manually from the TX and TTL was not working- just full power flash regardless. I had to re-read the manual cover to cover as well as a few on-line guides trying to figure it out. As it was new, I did not know if that was normal, or if the unit was defective. I was questioning if my older flash was compatible with it. At one point, I just twisted it a little in the hotshoe mount and re-tightened it and the camera's flash menu recognized it, all of the functionality popped up on the camera's display screen and it began working as I expected. It has seated correctly and worked fine ever since. You can control the TX unit from the flash's internal menus or from the TX unit itself and each updates the other. IOW, if you change to ETTL from manual on the camera, the TX unit's display updates to ETTL. If you change the manual output to say, 1/128 on the TX, the camera's internal menu updates to reflect that. They talk to each other, so you can use the camera or the TX to adjust your flashes remotely. Much easier to just use the 6722-TXZ's buttons and screen though instead of having to navigate to the camera's flash menu each time. Not much to say about the receiver unit, all you do is connect it to the flash and turn it on then ensure that it is set to the correct channel and group and that is all, you do not need to interact with it at all, all control happens from the TX unit.If you buy or are contemplating buying this, there is a PDF manual available on-line that is nothing short of incredible written by a user in New Zealand. Google it, it's called "the other YN622C user guide", current version now is 4.12 (through firmware 1.06) It is hosted at a Google Drive for download. Read that cover to cover and you will know these units inside and out, literally.

Works but clunky - not consistent
Not sure if it is just the specific kit I received. The user manual is very basic and not at all very useful. It was hard to configure and get Remote Shutter Trigger to work.It would work for one cycle and then next time same steps it didn't work again - had to try a few times again to get it working.Repeatedly followed the same process and it eventually just started working. Not very consistent and reliable in serious high speed environment. You will lose shots if it doesn't work as expected in trying to debug the issue.

Fell In puddle of paint at Life In Color: Miami
As a photographer In the nightlife industry there is a lot that can go wrong. When I buy my equipment I expect it to perform well and create the same results every time. With that said, I took this to hell and back. After only using it two times in a club, I took it to were most photographers send there equipment to die... Life In Color. As a photographer for this event I encountered everything and it performed better than I expected. Over two day it had been hit by 3 paint blast, operated around thousands of frequencies, and fell on a large puddle of paint. Yes, a puddle of paint. I was ontop of some risers and a fan knocked the flash out of my hand and both the trancever and flash fell in the puddle and knocked the batteries out, filling the gap with paint. After, I imeditly left to the media tent, clear out the paint from the battery slot, wiped all the equipment off, put in new batteries... And IT WORKED! The only problem I encounterd throughout the rest of the nights was it coming loose on the base the flash, causing it not to trigger. Simply moving it and tightening fixed it every time.Because of this in endeavor and how it performed afterwords I would certainly have to give this five stars, even though it does have its slight flaws with mounting and quality. Overall it is certainly a replacement for the more expensive counterparts and I would certainly recommend this to just about any serious photographer.Fyi: not all the paint will come off.

Easy to Install and Operate, Performs Flawlessly
I am really enjoying using my Yongnuo Flash Triggers. I had them set up and was firing test shots with my Canon 5D Mark III and 580-EXII within 15 minutes of opening the box. My first advice is to leave the tiny manual in the box and go straight to YouTube. There are numerous reviews and helpful setup videos that will get you started much more efficiently than trying to decipher the tiny manual which suffers somewhat from poor English translation. For instance: "This group is not participate in flash."I love being able to control the flash function from the camera menu, and after repeated practice I am becoming rather efficient at changing modes and power settings. I haven't had any misfires and the units seem to be working dependably, though so far I've probably only fired them a few hundred times. The Yongnuo triggers are a great alternative to the ridiculously overpriced Canon triggers, and I now look forward to really perfecting my flash photography techniques.

Easy to use
Easy to use. Takes a little bit to get the hang of going between ETTL and manual. I love adjusting everything right at hand on the camera. Best to use rechargeable batteries although they don't go through batteries to fast. With 4 trigger units and 3 speedlites it just takes alot to be on top of battery use.Had to use a work around for using with my Canon 430EX to get it to 1/1 Manual full power. 430 EX II work great with it. It is easy to accidentally change channels or groups when handling the Flash triggers. It would be nice to have a way to lock those in when handling or change my ways. It probably will not happen much in the future now that I know how easy it is to change those items. I have 3 of the triggers. Here are some examples where I used the triggers and kit.https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.857033731006657.1073741835.246741928702510&type=1

Excellent system
Love these babies.... the backlight is a bit too bright and can not be turned off (atleast I couldn't)... but that's it everything else is excellent...I tested its range for the sake of testing using a Canon 430 ex II.... 40m no problem!!! I doubt flash photography needs range beyond that.It Supported sync upto 1/8000 no problem.Controlling the flash outputs is a breeze.I already had two 622c transceivers... adding one from this kit made my lighting setup complete ...i.e. key, rim, fill.... worked like charm in various group combinationsIf you want to start off camera strobbing ...Go for it

Flashbang for the buck!
If you've fooled around with other cheap triggers, this one is a game changer. I'm a canon shooter, and this trigger plays with all my EX flashes and the YN685

Battery compartment loose - PRODUCT NOT GOOD
Had bought the product in Nov 2018. Within couple of months, the battery compartment became loose. The batteries aren't seating properly and the product is not working. Had sent email to seller, Artek Web distributors.... No response. Had contacted Amazon and they've told that i need to contact Yongnuo in Hong Kong DIRECTLY and they cannot do anything. I am left to fend for myself.Very disappointed with the product and the after sales support. And Amazon in its email to to me writes..... Buy with confidence from Amazon. i've been a loyal customer to Amazon and today left with deep disappointment.
