Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant!
I WISH I could've been a part of this discussion with the author. I'd have liked to share my perspective on this and try and understand from a psychology perspective why a man just never grows up! He grows up just enough to "marry the girl of his dreams" but God forbid if he tries to adult it ... Oh the horror! 😂 This MIL- DIL relationship is probably the ONLY one which grows with distance ... "Distance makes the heart grow fonder"? Couldn't be truer than for this scenario of a relationship. It's a sad state of affairs really. Just goes to prove that a woman is her own best friend and her own worst enemy! Pick your choice ... Which one will it be?

Mother-in-laws like these too exist
Mother-in-laws like these too exist! Oh my god, what torture these women had to go through but the fact that they endured it was even depressing. And the book is inspired by true stories! Venugopal has brought to light some women who really had harrowing days tackling their mother-in-laws. Books like these should be published more.

Not a must read Novel
I have purchased this book to have a fun read. As it does for all ladies, the initial stories were interesting, like we love to know what's happening in other's life, howz the MIL's are in real world. The fact is - knowing these were disturbing and depressing. It makes you insane thinking about how multiple people of suffering becoz of these stupid patriarchal society. I appreciate the fact that the writer took time to meet, speak, understand and take the actual stories into account. Her patience is something that is extraordinary. Am sure i felt some solace knowing the fact that its not just my or known MIL's that act strange, this applies to all, and it may be taken into consideration that all MIL's go to same university to learn that course of - How is make their DIL's insane. This book is a onetime read, by the end of the book ..who will compel to finish and keep it away.I have to say this, its not good feeling to read everyone's episode of their

A good read
I would first like to appreciate the author for taking up something like this. I could relate to it. The book is based on real situations between mother in law and daughter in law. This is just the tip of the ice berg. I am sure there a million stories like this in our country. Not many in our country perceive this as a problem. It is taken lightly. I hope the author comes out with part 2

somehow I don't like the story or the narration
When I start reading a book I finish that in a span of 3days max ..but this book after I finished the first story I wanted to read some other book .somehow I don't like the story or the narration....and there is no happy ending .....somewhere I feel there can e difference of thought or culture s etc etc between two characters (here mom in law and daughter in law) butone cannot be so negative about the another one who. Has seen more life or more experienced ....anyways when I read a story I feel there should be a happy ending which LL motivate the reader to handle his or her probs in a better way with a better understanding. ...but in these stories (I have just finished the second one and not willing to finish the rest of the book) gives a feeling that u can't change anything u have to just flow with the stream....i feel the stories should be based upon the people's life or the incidents which are different from others ...but in this book it's not ...Very dissapointed ...but I know it's difficult to put ideas together and write a book and one writes for the mass ...so my best wishes are there with the writer for her future projects .

Funny title, but not a funny book.
I took it's book by it's cover. I thought it would be a light take on the much hyped relationship of a daughter-in-law & her mother-in-law. But it's nowhere close to a light hearted novel. Some stories are heartbreaking.

Well written! A good and honest book!
Well written and brutally honest book! The truth that needs to be shared and openly spoken. My heart goes out to all the young women who go through suffering in the name of marriage. An eye-opener, a must read for all young girls. Make wise decisions in life!
