Thanks for your question. There is a 1-year warranty on the Coravin Systems and that includes 1 free standard replacement needle. Please contact Coravin Customer Service for assistance, and have your Coravin's serial number ready. To get the serial number, move the clamps down to the bottom of the guide. Turn the Coravin upside down. You will find the Serial Number on the underneath part of the handle, just behind the needle grip. -Coravin Customer Service

Q: How long does a needle last

Needles come in three different styles. wish this was not the case Each has pros and cons. I use them in a restaurant setting, 70 wines by the glass with 40 under coravin. The "speed" needle is the fastest pour but, thinner and has the shortest life expectancy. Needles get thicker and last longer with "the classic" being the thickest.

Q: Are these needles ok to use with the Coravin Model 2?

As far as I know, same needles, same cartridges.

Q: is there any conversion kit for the coravin so it can be used on a screw cap?

Buy a set of the screw caps. Quickly remove the bottles screw cap and immediately replace with the coravin screw cap There is a silicone center to use the coravin needle Each cap is rated for 50 punctures of the needle. I’ve used this multiple tomes and had wine stay good for months in between. I believe coravin says 3 months storage with their screw cap. The key is switching caps quickly and sealing tight since air is the “enemy” in preserving wine. Many of the Coravin sets come with one Doesn’t work with the Pivot product

Nice wine opener but pricey, & parts wear out quickly

I would have preferred that all 3 replacement needles come in the thicker (for faster pouring) model instead of one of each of their styles, and the needles are quite expensive. I received this Coravin as a Christmas gift, and like it, however I’m already having to order replacement needles (because the one it came with broke after 1 week), AND replacement gas canisters...both pricey, and neither lasted very long at all...

Good stuff.

I purchased a Coravin for my wife, some how she managed to mangle the needle first time removing it from a bottle... I have trained her on how to properly operate it now. Replacing the needle is not hard and they do a good job protecting your wine investment.

Saving the rest of the bottle

This is a great product I use my Corvavin all the time, when all you want is a glass this is the way to do it. Have many bottles that are not everyday wine and occasionally I like to sneak a sip this is the way to do it without ruining the entire bottle. This set contains the small needle to my system do just that.
