Not the traditional use for crushed walnut shells, but as pictured and dyed gray, it makes perfect ballast for n scale train track. It’s light weight, better than ground sand, and much cheaper than hobbies commercial track ballast.

I needed to remove paint from an old wood frame, and this crushed walnut worked perfectly! It’s gentle enough to preserve the base material while still getting the job done. I highly recommend it for projects where you want a softer touch on delicate surfaces.

I returned because having a large cage I would have had to purchase MANY of this BUT I’ve used the same product in a larger quantity and I wouldn’t, and don’t use anything but this in our bird’s cage. No odor, easy sifting and just pretty in the bottom of any cage! This size would work on a small Parakeet cage.

If I keep incorporating these into my diet the way I have been, I’ll probably live to 150, maybe 155. They also work pretty well in my vibratory tumbler - my brass is coming out clean, if not quite as shiny as with corn cob. I’ll probably switch back to corn cob eventually, because my process includes a pre-cleaning in my ultrasonic bath first before drying and tumbling.

The amount I ordered (1.8 kgs) it's not a good value for money product. It was a test to see if it works. The amount of 7.2 kgs, that is a good value for money!

I have cleaned my brass with wet stainless pins. First time using dry tumble method. Does polish the case exterior but leaves a lot to be desire for interior.

I did not upload a picture of this one basically as described and showing the image inside the box came in a bag I use this product to sandblast my EGR use the quarter of it and worked beautifully.
