Q: Is this cushion covered by Medicare?

Rarely does Medicare cover the cost of this cushion. They cover the cost of a basic cushion. You have to go through a medical supply store.

Q: what is the green/red valves for and how do they work?

The valve locks the airflow between the cells. Green pressed in allows airflow between all the cells, for when you are inflating it. You can lock the air that is in the cells when you slide it to red. This let's you set each quadrant to a different level if desired, it makes the cushion more stable or let's you keep it how it is when sitting on it. Also if you get a leak in one quadrant that is the only one that will go flat.

Q: What are the cushion dimensions ?

The size of the cushion depends upon what size cushion you order. The high profile is about 3 1/2 inches high, could be less if not fully inflated.

I Had several Roho cushions over the last 20 years. Most of them have lasted 5-7 years, the only leaks have been from something sharp that shouldn't have been near the cushion hitting it, like dropping a knife. The pump is used to make sure that the pressure is maintained as it will vary due to temperature and the valve getting opened accidentally. Usually the cover is what wears out first.
