Design, Function and price!
I shop with an eye for esthetic design, functionality, and price. The Mueller exact temp fulfilled all three desires. It is a clean, crisp modern design that has functionality too. It’s square shape takes up less space than round kettles when stored, but holds 1.7 liters (57.48 oz) of water and brings that to a rolling boil (100 C or 212 F) in 6min 30 sec at sea level. One liter comes to boil at 3 min 40 sec. The Muellar Electric Kettle automatically turns off approximately 45sec after the boil begins. I tried to use the kettle without adding water, it shut itself off by detecting the dry kettle. This is a great safety feature. The blue LED power switch is easy to see, apparent when it turns off and there is a handy audible “click “.The spout pours well with no over spill, and dribble. A simple thing but a task my last electric kettle failed to do!The power requirements are easily met by a typical 15 amp US outlet but the kettle does need a minimum of ten amps so sharing an outlet could lead to a circuit overload. Now a few hitches. The view port in the handle is not easily seen being that water is clear and the inside of the view port is white. Not a big deal. Perhaps Mueller could add a small floating orange bead in the water level viewer. An inexpensive fix.The cord is thick and designed to handle the needed electric load but it’s stiffness does seem a bit clumsy in use. I feel this will likely become less an issue with use.I am please with my purchase, would recommend the Muellar ExactTemp Electric Kettle. At less than $20 US it’s a steal!

Boils FAST Looks Great & Is Super Convenient To Use & Clean
I wasn't sure if this would be the kettle/water heater I really wanted. What I DID know was that I wanted something that wasn't the run of the mill Coffee Maker that everyone else has sitting on their countertop. We are recovering from a total-loss house fire so I am taking the opportunity to be really 'picky'. I love that this one is NOT what everyone else has - and it LOOKS FANTASTIC! It is sleek and elegant and will fit ANY decor. It is Not one of those glass globes that I seem to break every 6 months. This kettle's construction is Solid, yet it is very light to lift and carry - (my hands cramp easily if I am lifting almost any weight at all since crushing my shoulder and I am not having that issue with this kettle). It Boils water VERY quickly, and it does so at the flip of a switch! The water level is fairly easy to see on the handle, so you are less likely to heat it up empty. The on/off switch lights up bright blue when in the ON position. Overall I LOVE this kettle, and my friends really like it too! A word of advice to anyone using ANY kettle or any vessel to boil water in - always use distilled or purified water to avoid the build-up of minerals and gunk in your appliances. I LOVE my new Kettle/Water Heater. So very glad I got it!

Light weight, small footprint, sleek modern appearance. Update: lasted three years
We’ve just started using this to replace our twenty year old stainless steel kettle. There are hundreds of kettles on Amazon, and prices from low to high. Name brands don’t seem to count for much these days, but we do have a Mueller salad spinner that is very well designed and built. We’d initially tried a glass kettle, and realized that they are both quite heavy and have a large footprint on the countertop. The Mueller kettle is much lighter than glass, nearly as light as the steel kettle, and has a nice small footprint, so it takes up less counter space. We’re very happy with both the appearance and function of the Mueller kettle.Pros:Modern euro design, in an IKEA sort of way.Small footprint, takes up less counter space.Light weight.Top opens wide for easy access.1500 watts of power for fast boiling.Very stable, no danger of tipping.Cons:Water gauge nearly impossible to read, it’s more of a gimmick. Markings inside of the kettle would have been much more useful. The water filter screen seems pointless, and is fiddly to reinstall.Mine is defective, in that it does not shut off when the water is boiling. I let it boil for nearly five minutes without it shutting off. I’ve ordered a replacement.Mine also doesn’t shut off when it is removed from the base. This seems like a bit of a hazard. Hopefully the replacement unit will take care of both of these issues.
