Contender 2.0 BJJ Gi

This Gi is excellent. The fit was great and it was lite cool and very tough. The pants at first looked really wide but they sinched down with no issues and the length is perfect for me at 6'5". Definitely worth the money. If you are looking for something high quality but not as expensive as Origin this is a good way to go

It is the first bjj gi I have bought and I have used it in five classes and I have felt that it has excellent quality I am about 1.72 and weigh 75 kg I have had no problem with the size.

I’ve been training in the Venum Contender 2.0 BJJ Gi for a bit now, and it’s turned out to be a really solid choice. The material feels sturdy without being overly heavy, and it breaks in quickly after a few sessions. Definitely comfortable enough for regular training. The fit is pretty good overall—slightly on the slimmer side, but not restrictive once you get moving. The stitching and reinforcements feel dependable, and so far it’s held up well during rolling. For the price, the durability is honestly better than I expected. My only heads-up is that it can shrink a little, so washing on cold and hang-drying is the way to go. After that, it settles into a nice, natural fit. Nothing too flashy in terms of design, but it looks clean, feels tough, and performs well. If you’re looking for a reliable budget-friendly gi for training, the Contender 2.0 is a strong pick. Would definitely recommend it to beginners or anyone needing a dependable backup gi.

Great fit, light, and not as hot as go usually are. The sizes are very accurate, but I’d recommend you go .5 bigger than usually, since when you wash it and dry it on a dryer, it might shrink

I am completely satisfied on how well it fitted me,! The Material is very thick and durable. It feels very light while training .Its worth to spend more money on the brand Champions wear. I have several Venum Contender gis. They are my favorite light weight gis. The 2.0 is huge disappointment. The jacket seems fine but the pants are not. I tried this gi on right out if the package and did some basic movements. When I dropped to low stance, the pants ripped. This was not even a quick or powerful movement. I cannot see how these would stand up to drilling, much less any rolling. I like the half-size option, but the quality on the pants I received was awful. Just to check, I pulled out a fresh contender 1.0 (same size as this 2.0, A2.5) I've had sitting in the package. I was able move dynamically with no issues in that gi. It seems like quality has dipped drastically for the 2.0, unfortunately.

I’m a large man (6’1 260lb) and got into doing bjj to get back in shape. I decided I needed a second gi in case the one I bought from my gym was dirty. I ordered an A4 thinking it would fit for now and I would be swimming in it once I lost weight(goal of 210-220lb). When I got the gi I liked the look and it seemed of decent quality. I tried it on and the pants fit amazing . The jacket was a bit tight around the middle which is fine as I won’t be this heavy long and could use it as a goal. The issue is it doesn’t fit through the shoulders which will not get any smaller. Basically what I’m saying is if you are broad through the shoulders it’s probably not the right gi for you.
