Cuts ceramic tile like butter
I ordered this 3-pack of 4-1/2 inch Diamond Multi-Purpose Saw Blades from FOXBC to use with my angle grinder on a ceramic tile bathroom project. I am using this blade mainly to make the odd shaped cuts as I tile around objects. These blades fit my DeWalt grinder without using the included adapter rings. The fit on the mandrel is perfect and the blade runs true with no runout detected. I did not use any water for lubrication or cooling for these cuts and there has been no issues with overheating or loading of the grit on the blade. After several hours of use, the blade has not shown any wear at all, so I expect it to last a long time. Since there are three blades in this set, I plan on dedicating one blade for ceramic, granite, and marble tile. A second blade will be used only for metals, and the third will be a spare. So far, I have used the blade only on ceramic and marble tile, and I am very pleased with the performance. I have previous used several cutting products from FOXBC and have come to trust the quality and performance they provide. These blades are no exception and they are a good value at the current price of $23.99 for three blades.

Great blades for masonry - not so much for metal ...
[ FOXBC 4-1/2” Diamond Multi-Purpose Saw Blades x3 ] I’m always on the lookout for good blades for my Makita angle grinder so I thought I’d give these a try. They look good and are coated to reduce friction. Looking at the edge you’d never guess that one of these blades would cut anything - the coating pretty much covers the cutting edge. I tested a blade on two types of metal first since that is what I use this tool for mostly. 1) Thin steel plate: It cut OK but not great. 2) 304 Stainless steel: No go. Quite a bit of heat and hot metal smell. Next test was on an old fired brick: It zipped tight through at an amazing speed without heating up or binding in the cut. This was after that previous two tests and at that point the edge of the blade looked glazed and I really didn’t expect it to cut the masonry at all. A pleasant surprise for sure. These blades may be ‘Multi-Purpose’ but they definitely excel when cutting masonry. My only other test was on some soapstone which it predictably sliced right through. So, the bottom line is that I’ll stick to high quality abrasive wheels for metals and save these for materials that can benefit from the diamond blades. Overall a good, solid blade for those uses!

Well made and well performing multi-material cutting blade.
I reached the following conclusions in my review of this product: 1. Based on visual inspection, these diamond blades appear well manufactured with good fit and finish. 2. The product listing appears substantially accurate and reliable. 3. I have only used these blades for masonry and tile, as I find abrasive blades more cost effective for cutting steel. In these materials they cut aggressively and quickly due to the coarseness of the grit used. For masonry, this is generally a positive feature. However, on tile and glass the blades leave a somewhat chipped and ragged edge. This may be unacceptable depending on your application. 4. I have not used these blades long enough to accurately comment on their longevity. However, based on my limited usage I observed no premature wear of the diamond grit. 5. He ability to cut multiple materials (essentially everything you could ever use an angle grinder to cut) with a single blade is definitely a positive feature of these blades. However, like most multi-function blades, you are not likely to get the same performance as a dedicated blade. 6. Please wear eye and ear protection when using this blade, as well as any other cutting equipment. Overall, I am pleased with this product.

Quality Made Saw Blade For Multi-Purpose Use
The Foxbc multi-purpose saw blades were ordered for use with my angle grinder. I had previously heard of FoxBC, but to my knowledge had never owned or used one of their saw blades. It was attached to my angle grinder and tested with some metal pipe, heavier plastic, and PVC. I have specialty tools for other wood, porcelain, and ceramic products, so it was not tested on these types of materials. The saw blade is sharp and fits my angle grinder properly. It obviously sliced through the PVC with ease. The plastic that was used was an old truck bed for a smaller Toyota truck. Again, it cut through the plastic, though, due to the makeup of the truck bed, it was a little tricky. It was not so much the thickness, but rather the flexibility of the truck bed. A straight cut on some of the curving was difficult. The metal piping (about 1/4 inch thickness) was slow, but the blade went right through. Based upon my initial experience, I would order these saw blades again.

Great quality and incredible value.
Incredible value on these blades. Cuts through concrete really efficiently. I had to cut about 4 linear feet and it went way better than expected. It's a dusty mess, but the blade held up well with no detectable wear. I prefer the normal abrasive cutoff wheels for cutting metal so I can't speak to those capabilities. However, I've had great luck with this type of blade for concrete, masonry, and ceramic tile. Definitely wear hearing protection, safety glasses, and a dust mask. I've used several FOXBC woodworking blades with great results and was excited to try this on my angle grinder. It did not disappoint and I'd recommend it.

Ceramic/Resin Blades always scared me
I always was extremely careful with cutoff wheels. I would make sure to stand out of their path. Even so, I know that if they shatter they can easily send someone to the ER or worse. I would cover all skin. Shrapnel can even go thru clothes. You never know if a blade has a crack and is ready to shatter. This is a much safer alternative. This is strong steel like would find on a miter saw blade. There is little to no chance of these breaking apart. They are also very aggressive and can cut thru anything a cutoff wheel can. Price is very reasonable too. I used it to cut thru some rusty bolts and exhaust pipe. The angle grinder I have isn't powerful but these blades cut with ease.
