Cases Protechtor Series Drum Set Hardware Carry Bag with Molded Plastic Base; 18" x 46" Interior (GP-HDWE-1846-PE)

I bought a set of three Remo festival drums (1x Djembe, 1x Timbau, 1x Tubano), and they fit PERFECTLY nested inside this case by just removing one flip-top drum head. The case's molded base is very sturdy, and the wheels move freely. Padded velcro "seat belts" securely hold the drums inside the zipped case and protect them from items being stacked on or smashed into the drums stored inside. I will definitely be using three of these cases to bring a full set of hand drums to my internationally-held group drumming retreats.

Just got my GATOR HDWE-1846 case. My research paid off.... great heavy duty case. The wheels which are built into the case molding are about 2.5" in diameter and should be adequate for sidewalks,Asphalt parking lots and airport flooring.The rope Cloth marterial + encased grip handles are very well made and very well attached to the heayduty cloth wrapping. There was a suprise ,inside there are Velcrow strap Tydowns(2) which hold down the hardware inside. They have heavy padding to secure the harware firmly from jiggling about inside.The zippers are A rate. There is two rope handles on either end along with the oversized dual handles at the mid section.The small side pocket is perfect for a small stick bag.My only concern is the hard case handle attached to the pulling end of the case.It reminds me of the "old Endura" case handles which eventually were replaced with metal handles bound to a metal plate, rivited to the case. I had an old Endura bass drum case, with such a handle, break off mid air in my hand. After 10 yr's It got corroded and broke clean off. Well in this case (no pun intended) you still have rope handles to pull with. Just becarefull not to twist the fixed handle when you pick up the front end of the case. Happy drumming. Finished first gig with the bag....what a drag. The bag is TOO big. If you fill the bag even half full there is so much weight that is droops to one side when you pull it(it's too wide too long). (even with the internal strapping in place). It is too hard to pull with all that weight though the wheels are up to the task. It's a two man operation to lift into the car and I am not a wimp(30 yr's in construction). I am going back to the old trap case on wheels. This case will be my vehical HWR storage bunker.

It’s freaking huge like a body bag

I love it. Great quality (everything Gator makes is good quality). I really like the padded interior and padded tie down straps. The wheels are like rollerblade wheels, not cheap plastic ones. I looked at many other options and brands before getting this. Nothing else had consistently good reviews, except for hard cases (and I didn’t want a hard case). It’s perfect to carry all the hardware for my acoustic cajón kit (hihat stand, small cymbal stand, bongo stand, djembe stand, 2 small gator mic stands, and large gator boom mic stand). If you gig with a drum kit with more than 3 or 4 full-size stands you’ll want the larger size 46”x18” bag.

Works great, fits my gear, but seems a little flimsy as your stands start to add up the weight. Also, this case could use a side handle in case you are carrying it up stairs, and you need to fit in a narrow space. As it is, the large handles in the center, just right it up flat, leaving you no room to maneuver through stairways or narrow passageways. There are handles on both ends that enable a second person to move the case.

This case is great. Durable, spacious, easy to load.

Very nice sturdy and plenty of room. Highly recommended. The wheels are very nice. This is my second one. The first one I had for 5 years and beat it it up hard.....

Bought this bag because a friend said it has a hard plastic bottom.... SUCKS !!! the bottom cracked upon my first gig,,,,..bag material is very thin.... within a few weeks cymbal stands were poking thru...
