Crisp clean 4k. Nothing enhanced for HDR, but the audio mix has been worked on. No clipping, great highs and lows. Impressive. The chainsaw sound was overwhelming.

Great Disc, Great Movie. One of Christian Bale's best performances, by far. I heard they are remaking this movie and it makes me sick to think about it. This movie is perfect.

The first copy I got was messed it. So beware of that. Hopefully it was a fluke. Great movie. Makes you think. Wonderful performance by Bale. Big improvement in picture quality over the blu ray.

Great movie and great shipping

Remember when you started watching movies on Blu-ray discs. Well take it to the next level with 4K! Because of the types of scenes you'll see in this movie, facial features, especially, are very detailed and intricate. I find this movie disturbing, but even more so in 4K resolution. That's the beauty of 4K discs. I'm buying 4K discs regularly as they come out. Not all of them, but the memorable movies. It's time to take movie watching back into our control. Watching a movie in 4K does that. You don't have to pay extra for 4K resolution like some streaming services charge.

Come accaduto con Eyes Wide Shut di Kubrick, American Psycho è stato leggermente modificato per il pubblico statunitense più "puritano", adeguandolo quindi alle sale. La differenza tra la versione integrale e quella tagliata per quel pubblico si limita a pochi secondi durante la sequenza con le prostitute, un dettaglio impercettibile in Italia, dove il film era uscito, sia in sala che in home video, sempre senza censure. Perché scegliere questa specifica edizione? In Italia non esiste ancora un 4K di questo adattamento del capolavoro di Bret Easton Ellis, e la qualità video e audio qui è impeccabile. Il restauro in 4K HDR restituisce una palette visiva straordinaria: contrasti netti tra luci fredde e sterili degli ambienti e i toni caldi delle "maschere di sanità" indossate dai personaggi, incarnate sia nella loro perfezione che nella loro brutalità. Christian Bale offre, a mio avviso, la sua interpretazione più memorabile di sempre, sostenuto da un cast eccellente. L’audio è in inglese con sottotitoli. Gli extra, pur non abbondanti, risultano preziosi: oltre ai contenuti precedenti, includono commenti audio alle scene eliminate e un nuovo commento integrale al film.

Grade A transfer for a recent classic. While I still wish the more disturbing horror and pitch-black satire of the novel had been conveyed, on its own this is a perfect black comedy. Great writing, directing, sets, editing, soundtrack, performances (particularly Bale, who deserved an Oscar), etc. Insanely rewatchable. Always a laugh-riot.

Je regrette de mettre une note aussi négative mais le texte de l'annonce était trompeur. On ne voyait pas clairement que le film était uniquement en anglais et en allemand. Pas de version française ni de sous titres en français.
