This book is divided into skills with five pages of passages and four questions. Very reasonable to assign this kind of activity for homework/home learning. Answer key at end of book. Each skill is introduced with suggestions for teaching. Love it!

Really liked this book - interesting paragraphs and then have to answer questions about what you read. Not too difficult, perfect for summer!

Excellent book to practice over the summer. My son, going to 4th grade, did two stories each day and by the end of the summer he was really good. Really recommend to practice reading , analyzing and writing short answers.

Quick little passages (about half a page) great for hammering down ELA skills-authors purpose, main idea/theme, sequence etc. Plus each passage has about 5 or 6 literal comprehension questions on the same page and usually one or two inferential questions to answer. Also good for busy work for kids who finish early.

This resource is phenomenal for promoting higher order thinking in students. It builds upon each skill, and uses both multiple choice and open ended questions. Love the variety of skills covered and that they are repeated. The layout of the book is very easy to follow and use. Highly recommend!
