OLSAT Practice Test (Kindergarten and Grade 1): (With 2 Full Length Practice Tests)

I purchased this workbook to give my son an idea of what to expect on the test. We didn't make it through the entire book but he passed anyway. He had amazing scores, so I can only imagine how much better he would have done had we actually completed all the practice tests. This is an excellent resource!

This is a great learning tool for your child if you are considering them for G.A.T.E. It will let you know if your child is ready to be in the gifted education program. This book helped prepare my child to pass the G.A.T.E. My child learned how to answer questions using a scantron and think outside the box.

This is a great book covering all different types of questions. My 5 year old loves the word problems and always asks me to come up with some of my own word problems. It is a wonderful book that gets the child thinking logical. A book i highly recommend

My 4 year old used this and loved all the questions. It was easy to use, and not as expensive as the others I've seen

The tests were simple to administer and really fun for the kids. This is something I would recommend for every parent even if just to get an idea of where your child is at and what to work on over the summer!

I do not recommend buying this book. Look at others, including Bright Kids (this is too expensive, but at least it is a good book). Bright Minds book is a cheap knock off that feels like it was written and illustrated by people who don't care and don't know the test. For example, the authors start off in the introduction by saying that Verbal Comprehension Questions include "Following Direction" questions and then proceed to include only 12 questions -- all of which are in picture classification (which fits into pictoral reasoning) and no following directions questions. When you buy a book, you expect to have the authors know what they are talking about. I know about these tests as a teacher. I strongly recommend you buy another brand than Bright Minds Publising.

Pricey. But it is good to invest. I also recommend to make plenty of copies and keep this as original. This will make the kids keep practicing.

I bought this for my four years old and she loves it. It was easy to use and great way for me to teach her.
