For those on a strict budget of five to ten pounds, this a good book to have.

Not as good as previous edition
I have an edition of Cheap Eats in London from about 5 years ago and it's great, a little bible that I've used often. I was excited to see this new edition and got it right away.Immediately I noticed it was smaller - this time it's Top 100 Cheap Eats, not just Top Cheap Eats. The quality of the book is lower - not much better than a booklet, to be honest - and I'm not confident it will hold up to being tossed in a bag for a day out in London. It also isn't as useful as the previous edition because it lists the top 100 in a random, not by location. There is a list in the back by area but it's fiddly, turning back and forth. The information inside is still useful, but I think now I'll have to read it and plan restaurants I want to go to, instead of going to an area and finding a gem. A shame! I'll have to stick with my outdated book for spontaneous trips.I'm also not fond of entries like 'KERB'. It's a street food collective with several stalls. They mention a couple but really, it's 6 per day in King's Cross, 5 days a week - and it gets one entry? They can't *all* be worthy of the guide, surely?
