Best kit I have bought.
I worked in the TV trade in the 1970's when resistors were like bricks and SMC,s were non existent. This kit is excellent but challenging. The surface mounted components need care to solder. I recommend using low melting point solder paste. However the instructions are some of the best I have seen. It worked perfectly first time. Top tip push all the wires through the speaker enclosure before connecting them to PCB. Well made and designed kit. Very highly recommended.

Excellent kit.
A really fantastic way to spend an afternoon with my 13 year old. He has learnt a lot of new skills and has a lovely set of speakers to show for all his effort.

Intriguing but difficult
The Kit itself is a very good kit, however the wires that come with it are not all pre-stripped and the ones that are not are either near impossible or very difficult as they break or strip more that what you want stripped. Also although it was difficult to build due to the very small chip that is the size of your small finger nail it was relatively easy after that. The sound quality is very good for the size and cost of this kit, they are also compatible with a wide range of devices, i.e. mobile devices provided that you have an extra charger to plug the usb into so you can power your speakers. They will also work seamlessly with a computer and work well as usb computer speakers. They also have a set of 5 led's on each board that act as a loudness indicator like on a mixing desk, these are configurable with a potentiometer to set to your preference and to calibrate them to sync together. The speakers also come well packaged in an anti-static bag. All in all these speakers are well worth the money and time to build despite the difficulty.

Remarkably good quality
Better than most home electronic project kits you can buy - the instructions are clear, there are some spare components, it doesn't require a separate unique power supply (powered by USB-A) and the quality of the finished product is impressive and functional. The sound is remarkably good given the size and specifications - not HiFi quality of course, but far better than the average phone or laptop speakers. The LED equaliser readouts are very bright and not really to my taste, but I can certainly see the appeal This was the first of several home electronics kits I bought off Amazon, and probably my favourite to date

Too much interference
Kit ok but you get a lot of noise from the power when the music stops. Also the lights don’t come on till it’s on full even when you put them on the lowest setting. Also the covers have cracked and the screws are not even tight.

Impressed with result read for mistakes I made
Good little project although web address for instructions was void. Check the CB for correct capacitor place as instructions that came with kit were not all correct and don't forget to put wires through perspex case before soldering to CB as I did nightmare. Enjoyed the build turned up light control on the CB and bingo well impressed for tiny speakers. Take your time it's only my third project if I can do it you can.

Very tricky to solder, not safe for children.
Definitely not for someone without soldering experience, as there is some very tricky soldering to do. You will need a pretty fien soldering iron and a very steady hand. Also this is advertised as a kids christmas gift, but I would say that the soldering required is to difficult for any child, and to dangerous. The instructions are also very limited, a few basics on how to solder, and then you work out where everything goes from the pictures, no explination of what anything is doing beyond a circuit diagram.

Ideal for beginner electronics and soldering
Great for keeping you busy for a bit! the boxes are the worst bit to work out and get together but other than that nice easy build as for sound quality it is what it is don’t expect much more than a loud iPad its great for building with the kids teaching them basic electronics.
