Philips RacingVision H7 12972RVS2 Headlamps (12V, 55W, 2 Bulbs)

I was really skeptical about purchasing this product as all reviews on Amazon weren't appreciative about it. However, I knew one thing that unless am upgrading to HID(for low beam/ projector housing) and LED (for high beam), [the best setup possible] for my Nexon 2020, which ofcourse costs more (significantly) I might not be fully satisfied anyway.. However, I still chose to trade in with the product as this was:-1. One of the most low budget upgrade over the pathetic stock bulb that comes with Nexon.😃😃2. I bagged this product via Lightnig deal offer for ~INR 1850/- 😎😎3. I had no plans to go for highway drives soon. But I still needed something better for the city roads too.Again I had my hopes really low with the product & trust me I was completely overwhelmed with the performance of rhis product. This less expectations you have the more surprised you would be. Though I went to a local shop to get it fixed initially, but I later realized they messed up the setting. The focus was going somewhere else. Thankfully I learnt from him how to fix it (while he was doing it).. Later I reopened the housing and followed the DIY method.. I'd say am very happy indeed. The throw and brightness has improved significantly for city roads. I hate using High Beam unnecessarily and am happy to stick to the basics.. I am posting this review at least after using thenproduct for a month withon city limits. I have plans for ~2k kms of highway drive come up soon & would probably like to see how this performs. Will keep all posted.Verdict - the product is defenitely worth a purchase if, 1. you don't expect the output to be alike HID/LED combo. (C'mon lets accept the fact that overexpecting would be illiogical & buyers' fault & not that of the manufacturer's)2. If you are getting this product in a deal/offer at lower price.Hope this helps !

The hard casing of bulbs were broken. But bulbs were ok and it is glowing.But I am not sure if bulbs are original.However lights are brighter.I will share the review after driving in night.

Very good brightness & throw. Replaced in XUV 5OO on 28 Aug 2022. Need to see how long they work...Revising my review...Both the lamps dead in Jan 2023. Not a good product

I have been using Osram Nightbteakers since 2009 and now I have tried phillips. I must say, Phillips is Far far superior than Osram in terms of visibility and throw of the light.Will it last longer than Osram is what I want to see. Osram's life is about a year or max 18 months. Go for Phillips.

Bought these on Amazon for my Nexon since the stock lighting was miserable. These were only marginally better and they did not even last 6 months. I got them in April and they were out by end of October. I don’t see any warranty options either. The box was also shipped with it being unsealed and not looking new. So I suggest to avoid.

I upgraded my RE Thunderbird headlight bulbs with this. To my surprise these are better than the stock ones. The throw is good and the brightness has also improved. You can go for this. Slightly expensive but you will be able to make out the difference while riding.

Bought it for my SCross 2022, went for a drive of 1000+ KM and used it in city , it gives great light and brightness and is far much better than yellow hallogen.Great product, writing the review after 2 months of usage

I used this bulb in place of the Philips standard Halogen which retails at approximately 1/13 of the price for a pair of bulbs. It is not 100-130% brightness as claimed. If such a performance exists, it is not visible to my naked eye. Maybe brightness is higher by 15-25%. My personal recommendation is to spend a few hundred more and preferably buy Osram H7 45210CW LED Headlights of the same configuration, or spend a few thousand more and buy Philips 11972U90CWX2 Ultinon PRO 9000 H7 LED. Both of the latter deliver on their promises. Racing Vision lamps are just marketing puffery. It doesn't deliver the results I expected when I saw the Philips Brochures, visited the Philips website, or considered the price as an indication of performance.
