Almost finished this cross stitch - really fun pattern. Nice and easy to follow, with large sections of the same colour so quick to complete (it's taken me just over a week). It comes with white felt but I'll probably use another material to make the stocking. This is my first attempt at a stocking (have been cross stitching for years) and I highly recommend you give this a go, even if you're a beginner. It's bright and colourful, I've really enjoyed creating these cute little snowmen.

I brought this for a present for my nephew, It took me nearly a year but then I did have quite a few breaks for a couple of weeks and I would only do about an hour every couple if days. It looks great when finished. The instructions are simple. Apart from the knot. The only downside is there is no markings for the outline, so you can sew it up correctly.

It is ok but personally I don't think the kit is of a high quality. The main disappointment was that when I got 3/4 of the way through the cross stitching I ran out of sky blue and the colours aren't the usual DMC colours. Also the background is only a half cross stitch and the white snow isn't stitched at all, just white from the fabric. I haven't finished it yet - I need to buy more sky blue elsewhere! I hope there are no further problems

I received very promptly. I have done several of these stockings from Dimensions and have enjoyed doing them. The finished product is great. My grandchildren love them. The only downside to this one is that he chart is smaller than the others have been & is quite difficult to see the different keys. I will still continue to do the ones from Dimensions though as I do prefer them.

This Christmas Stocking kit is absolutely beautiful and has easy to follow instructions & design. The threads come pre-sorted which is such a time saver and makes your work more accurate. It comes with felt for the back of the stocking but I think I may buy a thick velveteen or suede to replace it so it is more durable. I also purchased the "Sleigh Ride at Dusk" kit and they are beautifully paired for my husband & I for our first Christmas together this year. I am excited to have such a great enduring set of unique stockings. Would recommend!

Dimensions has the most beautiful patterns! They are so fun, and I had a great time working on this stocking. I love all the different thread counts on the stitches and the different types of stitches. It’s hard to tell the texture and depth from a photo, but the end product is stunning. Some people like to fill in the white spaces or add full stitches where there is a half stitch - DON’T! Those are what give the finished product “dimensions” and make them so gorgeous. I made this stocking for a friend and it took me 15 months with a few moderate breaks in between. I would not consider myself an advanced cross stitcher. If you have patience, can make an x or / with thread, and follow a pattern, you can do this! It’s basically paint by number with thread. My friend that is an expert sewer and quilter helped me finish it, as I don’t know how to use a sewing machine. That part seems much harder to me than the cross stitching. Like most people, we did not use the backing provided. I thought the pattern was easy to read, the aida cloth was fine, but I absolutely hated the thread provided. It pulled and knotted too easily and was generally frustrating to use. I am working on my next stocking, and I bought all new DMC thread, and already it is going much smoother. One deviation, I used white mill hill beads for the snow because I struggle with French knots, and I muddled through on the animals’ eyes and I am happy with the compromise.

I always buy dimensions. They are a quality product. This would be better suited for an experienced stitcher as the stitching is quite close. It’s a very beautiful pattern.
