This capo is great. I mean they all serve the same purpose and do it effectively, but I can trust this product and I like the seller. I got the product with 2 days free shipping, but recieved it the next morning. Dunlop shipped the product not even 2 hours after I placed the order, so I am impressed. I couldn't even have run to my local music shop in that much time with my hectic schedule. Good job on staying on top of your stuff, Dunlop!Also, about the toughness of the capo to open.. I think Dunlop knows what they are doing. A good capo must be strong enough to hold all the strings down evenly and with enough pressure to not leave any room for buzzing, and it must be strong enough to last an extended amount of time. I can easily take it with one hand and open it and slap it on my guitar neck, and I can move it around while still on my neck too. It really isn't that difficult, and I don't think people complaining about this capo really have any knowledge of capos or experience with other capos. However, if pressure really is an issue for you, check out Shubb capos. They have adjustable tensions and you move it around on your neck and lock it closed when you know which fret you want to play on, but this option 1)takes longer to move around since it's adjustable and 2)is more than twice the price. It is a solid product though.

Surprisingly, I've had experiences with some capo that do just that - they complicate this simple design in hopes of creating something "more useful." This capo does the job simply and does it well. The trigger/spring action is very comfortable on this model. It makes for easy maneuvering, while providing a strong hold on the strings. The rubber padding is durable. I've had two of these for years, and they have never needed replacement (I've only replaced them when I lost them). Just an overall good product.The Verdict:For the casual to performance level musician who needs a dependable capo for when you want to play a C in G formation, go with the Jim Dunlop 83CB.
