Will this hold semi chunky salsa?

Yes it will hold the salsa. But it might leak. They sell smaller nozzles. I didn’t know about that, and I had all sorts of things leaking out of the ones that come with the original order automatically. I bought the smaller nozzles afterwards and they work much better to keep the contents inside. They should have made a screw on cap for the top of the nozzle.

Will these work for chalk paint

YES I use nothing but fifo bottles, it keeps your paint fresh and its in an easy pour and no worries about your lid sticking so you can't get into your paint

Can you close the opening

No. The interchangeable valve does not manually close. The mouth of it opens and closes as you squeeze it. I did not realize until today that this product has interchangeable valve colors of different sizes for different thicknesses of liquids. I have the blue color that came standard with my order. However, it quite frequently leaks.

Are these good with holding liquids like cleaners and bleach?

As these are good with thick liquids, I think I’d only use like a bleach gel. If tipped upside down I think a thin liquid would leak.
