Excellent product
The right angle of the spectrometer cell makes it easy to keep it standing, avoiding any accidents.

2 Quartz cuvettes
I have a small home lab, and I bought these for a spectrophotometer that I'm still in the process of building. So unfortunately I can't them in an instrument yet. However, the quality appears quite good; the two transparent faces in the light path are very clear and flat, with no visible distortion. I don't have the UV sensor yet to verify that they are actually quartz, but they are labeled as such (engraved "Q" on the cuvette, whereas my glass ones are labelled "G"). The outer diameter was a consistent 12.47mm along the cuvette, and the inner diameter at the top was 9.97mm according to my calipers (measuring I.D. is harder with calipers, so it could very well be 10.00) However, the cuvette caps fit very poorly; they don't seat at all - they're like little hats. When I filled the cuvette and agitated it (firmly holding down the lid) it did leak a little; there's no good seal with the cap even when holding it firmly. And, as a minor nit, the case that they sent doesn't snap shut. It closes fine, but it just doesn't stay closed. Seems to be a recurring problem with this manufacturer! They did enclose the cuvette case in a larger, secondary plastic case, so perhaps they were aware of the issue. Anyway, quartz cuvettes can be expensive, and for a home lab, I'm willing to put up with some of these issues in order to get a UV transmissive cuvette without breaking the bank. You do get what you pay for, alas. 3 stars is usually what I give poorly made products as long as they do the job, so that's my rating here.
